ESPN season predictions are linked here. Good news: if you asked me who the two smartest and best-informed ESPN football writers are, I'd probably pick Len Pasquarelli and Mark Schlereth. Guess which team both of those writers picked to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Almost as good news: if you asked me who the two most inane ESPN writers are, I might pick Eric Allen and Michelle Tafoya. Guess which team both Allen and Tafoya are picking to miss the playoffs altogether. Honestly -- I've always thought Paquarelli and Schlereth were very good, while Allen was full of crap. Actually I don't know much of anything about Tafoya except that she's been a useless sideline reporter for many years (and not nearly as good as Suzy Kolber), so her views are easily discounted.
