Kings v GSW...again
With the way neither team seems all that interested in playing any defense, I predict yet another high-scoring affair. I wouldn't be surprised at a combined point total of 320 tonight. Although with no Martin for the Kings and no Monta for the Ws, maybe they will stay under 300.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Re: Kings v GSW...again
Watching Golden States offense early on, you see how much Monta means to the Warriors offensively. Not sure either team will even crack 100 with Monta and Martin out (I could be dead wrong though).

There's really no excuse to be behind in rebounding right now. That's ridiculous.

Its like Natt doesn't even care about rebounding with this current lineup:
C: Greene
PF: Garcia
SF: McCants
SG: Udrih
PG: Jackson

The only bright spot tonight has been Donte Greene. He's really showing his athletic ability tonight. I just wish he was more consistent...he is young, though, so that's not unexpected.

Does McCants ever pass the ball? I would bury that guy on the bench until he see's the big picture.

MCcants is the biggest ball hog/chucker in the NBA, I still remember when Mccants was in minny he kept chucking it in the 10 minutes he was in and finally when he passed it the crowd started cheering that had me going for days

Re: Kings v GSW...again
Awful game.
The good:
-Thompson looked good down the stretch offensively.
-Beno another good game.
-Noc owning the boards and 4 blks.
-Greene playing much better.
The Bad:
-Thompson before the 4th quarter.
-Garcia trying to be something he is not. Forcing bad passes and shots. 5 TO, 0 Assits. He will never be the focus of an offense.
-McCants is a chucker. Have kings fans come to realize that yet? And to think some people said Martin is expendable now because of Rashad.
-Horrid coaching moves. When you are being out rebounded and beat inside, do not pull your bigs out, play what bigs u got starting and on the bench. DONT TRY TO MATCH THE OPPOSISITIONS GAME STYLE. Well Natt nice knowing you. 6 more games to prove your worth as an assistant coach.
The Ugly:
-Hawes taking one in the eye.
-We shot .424 from the field and .656 from the line.
-They shot .374 from the field AND WON.
-6'5" Azabuki had 15 rebounds.
-140 points with Martin vs. GSW, 100 without. Still doubt the guy?
-We just lost to a team that had 7 player capable of playing tonight.
Kings players and coaches should be ashamed of themselves after that performance. The maloofs should be handing people money on there way out of the arena to see that trash.

Re: Kings v GSW...again
To be fair, we didn't have much of a choice with our bigs. Spencer was out for the game and Jason was in foul trouble. I guess it would've been beneficial to have Booth in for a little, but when that's your teams solution, you're not in great shape anyway.

To be fair With Hawes only play 11 minutes, Garcia was the most talented player out there for the Kings, Thats just how it is right now with us rebuilding

At least McCants dressed to play. How many games has Martin missed the past couple of seasons? He scores 50 one night and the next he has some phantom ankle injury. Even KENYON Martin has played more games.

McCants is playing for a contract. He isn't trying to do the team any favor. It does no good for Martin to play injured. I would rather him get healthy and be ready for a playoff push next year. We're going no where this year, kinda like the heat last year when Wade skipped most the season.

Peja Clone? Do you remember peja. The only similarity between the two is a sharp shooting stroke with strange fundamentals. They have absolutely nothing else in common. Very ignorant.

Please do. The way I see it, score is a plus, injuries in 2 of 6 seasons (KM) is not the same as 5 out of the last 6 for peja, and 9.2 Mil for a young player scoring almost 25 a game is no where near over paid.
In addition, Martin doubles the assist and almost steals average of peja. Don't make me run down the differences for you.
They are completely different type players. Try and diversify yourself with other teams to understand that player comparisons do not just have to be with current/past kings players. This is just a pointless argument. Your comparing apples and oranges, not "clones". Pure speculation based on bias towards Martin. No facts, no background, no reason= not worth my time.

I'll continue.
Neither defend particularly well, and both aren't very effective at creating their own shots. I'll give Martin credit for turning the ball over a lot more than Peja does and oh, I almost forgot, Martin doesn't rebound as well.
Would you want to shell out 9.2 million for a one-trick pony, especially with the economy as bad as it is and the cap in all likelihood going to go down? I'm not the one who seems to be biased here. Quit embarrassing yourself and get off Martin's nuts.

First: I would rather pay 9.2 for Martin than the 8 Million for K9 or the 8 for Nocioni.
Second: Martin doesn't create his own show? Check the efficiency and FT attempts. Who is getting him the ball if he doesn't? Who is our 10+ assist guy getting him the ball for his 25 points a game?
Third: One trick pony? What is Pejas trick? He is scoring 13 pts a game. Martin brings alot to the game that you ignore in your passion to diss martin.
Fourth: Martin does not turn it over alot more. Career stats show 1.7 to 1.4. Both are small, and the diference is very little. This is suprising considering how often Martin handles the ball, and unlike peja, does not just stand at the 3 point line waiting for a pass.
Fifth: This is the First year in 3 years Peja is out rebounding Martin. But neither is paid to rebound, but the 4.5 last year for Martin was pretty damn good for a stick figure looking shooting guard.
Sixth: Let me point out more differences for you...
Peja
Yugoslavia
6'10" 229
31 years old
Bad Hops/ poor athleticism
1.7 FTA per game
13.5 PPG
12 seasons
Since 05-06 216 games
Martin
USA
6'7" 185
26 years old
Good Hops/ Good Athlete
10.3 FTA per game
24.6 PPG(Peja has never in 12 seasons averaged that high)
5 seasons
Since 05-06 264 Games
If you want to compare apples and oranges again just let me know. Can we do Yao vs. Martin next time?
