Chris Bosh?Thunder

Post#1 » by The Magic Man » Mon Apr 6, 2009 6:03 pm

Im a Magic fan,and I was thinking of teams who could possibly land Bosh this summer and the Thunder has a legit shot at getting Chris Bosh this summer.

1.Say you ended up with the #1 pick in the draft, which Blake Griffin will likely be the top pick you can look at trading that pick for say Chris Bosh. You have the money to give him a extension this summer.

2.With Bosh,Durant,Green,Westbrook you have the talent to aquire a vet center in free-agency for the MLE (Rasheed Wallace).

Thunder:B.Griffin,D.Mason expiring contract,future 1rd
Raptors:C.Bosh

pg:Westbrook
sg:Durant
sf:Green
pf:Bosh
c:Wallace,Kristic

That looks like a team that could contend for a title next year.

You find OKC would rather have Griffin for a few reasons. One Griffins a OKC native, two Boshs contract will be massive resigning players would be a problem and three Griffin will be very cheap on a rookie contract. So overall a big no to a griffin/bosh trade.

OKC lands 1st pick and trades it for Bosh. Nope, there's better options out there than Bosh. Plus Bosh is Overrated. He's Ultra Downy (if you get what I'm saying).

Funny how everyoen calls him soft.....have you actually watched any games? He's Toronto's toughest player (by far)...the guy's stats are as much about force of will as talent. I don't know of a lot of players who work harder than him, especially on the boards when teh game is on the line.

He is soft.

He doesn't post up, he's not the fierce shot blocker he ought to/should be and he doesn't show up as often as he does against better competition. Teams usually take after their best player, just like how right now the Thunder kind of take after Durant, the Raptors take after Bosh.

I don't know why RealGM (or is just Raptor fans?) is obsessed with cramming the idea of Bosh to OKC for Green + Pickm it simply isn't worth it for OKC.

4th most free throws in the league (from driving into people)
Only the 2nd 20-10 guy in the league, all while being outweighed by almost everyone he plays against.

What about him makes you think he's soft? Also - why should be be a fierce shot blocker?
