I usually get pretty upset if we lose a 19 point fourth quarter lead, but we just had an uncharacteristic second half. The starters were iced up and had to come in and save us.

There's a reason why I like Sasha more than Farmar. Farmar, to his credit, had an aggressive offensive game, which is good to see. However.. he works on one end and too often he isn't consistent with that. So when his offense isn't going, he's even more useless. Sasha, really does try his butt off when it comes to defending people. Yeah, he commits some fouls, but I can live with that. He also doesn't get the benefit of the doubt yet when it comes to some of his "fouls."

I thought Shannon played solid in his minutes.. he doesn't do things that he can't do. He stays in front of his man pretty well and he rotated very nicely on one defensive possession and it led to an Eric Gordon miss and an LO rebound.

Man, did Kobe eat a couple cheeseburgers at halftime or what? Definitely wasn't himself in the second half. Not worried about it.. we saw the greatness of Kobe last game and he's going to do that more often than sucking it up in the fourth quarter.

We were one lucky shot away from becoming punked pretty badly tonight. That dude Eric Gordon was making contested 3s in Kobe's face at the end.

They haven't corrected it since last years Finals when our bench, as usual, allowed the Celtics to go on a huge run that we could not recover from.

Maybe if we had a leader that would get on some of these guys and remin... well, nevermind. We don't. That verbal leader that we need plays for the team that has home court advantage.

I think I'll just go to church instead and pray to Jesus (or God, or... are they the same? confusing...) and ask him/her to let our opponents be as mentally weak as we are in the playoffs.

PS: Someone should be slapped for signing Vujacic instead of Posey. I don't think I'm ever going to let that go.

I think I was listening to Dan Patrick this morning on the radio. His guest was Reggie Miller. Dan asked Regg about the Lakers blowing the lead. Reggie just told Dan that's because the Lakers are in playoff mode.

I started thinking about that and that made a lot of sense now. The Lakers blew that lead with the bench in. If this was a playoff game, the Lakers would still have Kobe and Pau sealing the game with probably 2 minutes left in the game. Lakers would like to get the best record, but whats more important? Some meaningless games and the chance the Cavs lose another? Phil is just getting the starters ready for the playoffs and the players are already set on it. Lakers will steam roll the West again.

I watched the whole game (via replay) early morning this morning.

A win is a win. ;)

It was a real ugly second half, but who cares as long as we won.
I'd be worried if this was a playoff game. I have no doubt that the Lakers will bring it come playoff time. I suspect they will come with a ferocious intensity in the playoffs.
