National Champion Tar Heels

Thoughts on their victory? This team clearly looked like they were on a mission, obliterating every opponent they faced. Well deserved and congrats to all of their fans!

It's almost not even fair with the talent and recruits they have been bringing in since Roy Williams showed up, they're just so deep with GREAT talent. Too bad Michigan State couldn't keep up with them

Congrats to Roy. He's quickly losing that choker reputation he had back at Kansas. The speed at which his teams are able to play at but still maintain a level of control and discipline is very impressive. The guy can flat out coach, not just recruit. He's a master of offensive basketball. Carolina became the obvious favorite to win this thing the moment Hansbrough, Lawson and Ellington all decided to return. They survived Tyler's injury early and Lawson's late. Thinking back on this group and their journey, from the total collapse against Georgetown in the 2007 Regional Final, to being blitzed by Kansas last year in the Final 4, these guys paid their dues, faced some setbacks and in the end came out victorious. So congrats to UNC on title #5.

And also, great run by Michigan State. The Louisville and UConn victories were just things of beauty from a coaching and execution standpoint. They'll be very strong again next season.
Jerry Reinsdorf; the undisputed king of allowing his GM's to run amok with unchecked power and ego. :king:

Truly amazing sportsmanship and classiness by Spartans fans.

Wow it feels great to hang another title, I hate I didn't do the five year plan, I could have been there for two titles!!

I had them as favorites since Lawson and Ellington decided to return. You knew Lawson was going to come back as aggressively and determined as he ever b/c of last years Kansas game.

I love that Ed Davis is coming back though, he's going to be a monster on next years team. He plays defense so aggressively which is what i love about his game.

Now all they need is for Lawson and Ellington to come back and they're set for next year too :D (joke). Lawson had a great career (along with Ellington) and i would be shocked if either came back.

Campus was INSANE yesterday. People were running to Franklin Street in huge streams to celebrate. It was really surreal. I got wasted on a monday night from celebrating, and then woke up 3 hours later to study for an exam. lol.

Hopefully we don't lose too much talent for next year.

John Henson is a tremendous talent coming in next year too and will combine with Ed Davis, Deon Thompson, and Tyler Zeller to form a scary good frontcourt
