MIN/OKC (If Thunder win Lottery)

Post#1 » by Klomp » Tue Apr 7, 2009 5:29 am

OKC Trades: Green, Watson
MIN Trades: Miller, Telfair

Why for OKC: Better balances their lineup, with a possibility of Westbrook/Miller (or Sefolosha)/Durant/Griffin/Some bum. Telfair is younger, better, cheaper, and has more upside than Watson.

Why for MIN: Why not? Green is the kind of wing player we need alongside ALove. Watson is that veteran point guard that we want/need. Deal also saves us over $2M next year.

ALove? I love it.

I would think OKC would keep Green as an awesome 6th man that can play both forward positions but i can see the benefits of them doing this deal also. Doesnt Watson have a similar length/smaller pay contract Miller? If so im def for it.

though I think Green is overrated to the Nth degree, this deal would never happen because Green is already better than Miller ever has been and still young

We don't get any of OKC's Durant, Green, Westbrook, #their 1st round pick as long as we don't give up one of our prospects who fits in OKC (Love for example).

As good as this trade would be for the Timberwolves at this state in their rebuilding process OKC will never consider such a deal.

What if there was also a pick swap? Like 25 for 18?

IMO still not enough that OKC would do it...

OKC would just start Westbrook/Durant/Green/Griffin/Krstic (or someone else) instead of doing that trade.

I think that if the Thunder get Griffin that they will end up trading Jeff Green but not until after they are sure it won't work. Maybe during next season and maybe in a year or two but not this summer unless they were blown away by an outstanding offer.

At the end of the day i'm just hoping the Wolves get Rubio or Thabeet with the lottery pick.

More like 25 for 5.
