Houston's Draft Picks
As an outsider, I was wondering whose picks you've traded for and what picks you've traded away through 2013.

expect Morey to swing a deal or two to get a pick this offseason... some teams may sell their picks because of the economic situation.

Re: Houston's Draft Picks
who would we want? There's not anyone in this draft that I like that won't go in the top 5. I see us signing an overseas player before buying draft picks. Who knows though, i think we've all learned that we cant predict Morey's method.....but we can all agree that whatever happens will be beautiful =)

I have to disagree about Griffin. Though his offensive game is not really anywhere at the moment.

Sure he can rebound (over shorter players). Not so sure if he can do that in the NBA. He also being lazy on defensive rotation.
only 2 players i like in this year draft
Tyler Hansbrough and Eric Maynor

Re: Houston's Draft Picks
His defense has major flaws but it's hard to write off a guy who gets you 20/15 day in and day out.

Michael Beasley avg 26/12 in NCAA and 13/5 in NBA
so Griffin will probably avg 10/6 in NBA
if playing for a bad team and avg more than 30 mpg
he can probably get 14/7

Re: Houston's Draft Picks
Hanbrough will not be very good in the NBA.
EDIT - And after watching Beasley, he could easily average more points in more minutes. He has a nice shot and can get to the rim. I don't think I ever seen Griffin take a shot.

Re: Houston's Draft Picks
Beasley played on a bad team, Blake Griffin played on a much better team. Blake Griffin is also taller, stronger and has better athleticism.
Also, Beasley could probably score around 20 pts a game right now if he didn't have such a short leash and played more defense. He is a gifted, gifted offensive player.

Re: Houston's Draft Picks
Tyler Hansbrough is Nick Collison with better offense and less mean streak. I can see him peaking at 14-7 in about 25 minutes.
Say what you will about Griffin, but he's going to be a force in the NBA even as a rookie. He'll grab 10 boards a game for sure, and he'll probably average an efficient 13-16 a game. Sacto has the worst record, but even if they get the 1st pick it's hard to see anyone going in their and outscoring Kevin Martin.
I don't see any point in acquiring a pick this season unless you're getting Blake Griffin or Ty Lawson. IMO, there's nobody else in the draft worth trading for.
