Kings v Lakers

Post#1 » by artest420 » Tue Apr 7, 2009 8:47 pm

Kings lakers, last time they played at arco it was the kings dominating all night. I remember my seats were surrounded by lakers fans and by mid 4th quarter i got to wave bye to all of them as they left crying and complaining about being beasted by the kings. what a good night, lets hope for a repeat. I think we can afford one win without hurting the lottery.

Seeing all of those Laker fans in Arco makes me sick. Seriously, who let these people in?

At least we're kicking Laker butt.

9/5 Hawes, 7/4 Thompson.... One hell of a first quarter. JT looks like a beast and Hawes is making Gasol look like a rookie.

Zone is not working. Bad matchups in the zone. Gasol is too free down low, and too many shooters on the outside. Go back to man to man please.

Nothing is going to work in this game. We are just plain outmatched. Without Kevin we're pretty much always going to be prone to going on droughts, and when we go on droughts things get ugly because we can't stop anybody.

But we're just getting beat everywhere. 4 more turnovers and 3 fewer offensive rebounds means 7 fewer possessions, and in those possessions they are scoring much more efficiently because they are shooting better from the field, but much more so because they are getting to the line a lot more than we are.

It got ugly quick. We just do not have the firepower to match up without Kevin. And not that Salmons is gone their is no one to slow down Kobe.

Thompson's making it easier and easier to swallow if we do not get the #1 pick. The kid is going to be a beast.

Garcia did an excellent job on Kobe early and then they switched McCants onto him.

Over all a decent game from Beno, nice games from Cisco, Spencer and Jason and just crap from everybody else. Our rebounding the amount of turnovers committed were fine, but we only forced 6 turnovers--which would be fine if we were keeping them from scoring efficiently. But they shot over 50%--which would even also be fine if they didn't also get to the line 29 times.

But even that wouldn't be so bad if we had done better offensively. We couldn't get to the line without Kev, we couldn't make up for with decent performances from 3 or from the field.
