I don't think it really matters. Becky Hammon isn't Russian but she played for their national team, simply because she played over there during the winter a few times. I'm not sure what the exact rules are, but I don't think he'd even need citizenship(the fact that he has lived there for a few months may be good enough).....could be wrong though.

I'd say he'll easily be good enough come 2012, and if he actually wants to, I can't see why not.

He will need spanish citizenship, which is not easy to get. Otherwise, looks logic huh, he won't be allowed to play for the spanish national team.
And he most likely won't be good enough to make the team as Spain has Calderon, Rubio, Sada, Sergio Rodriguez, Llull, Cabezas, Raul Lopez at PG.

Becky Hammon is half russian/half american now as she has both passports.

Despite that, Jennings has absolutely nothing to do with Spain as he is playing in Italy for Rome.

Are you asking if he's at the same level of Calderon or Rubio? IMHO no, not at the moment.
But I watch him playing every week; he's really talented and athletic, and I think the experience in Italy is really good to him. In Virtus Roma we have one of the best defensive PG (Ibby Jabeer) and one of the smartest players in Europe (Sani Becirovic) and he's learning a lot from them.

on the scale of being a Spanish citizen, with good being a citizen and not good being a non-citizen, then no, he is not good enough

No. You have to actually be a citizen and there are rules on that. Even in Russia when they are trying to rig such things there are a lot of rules. Like being an actual citizen............

I don´t think he would have a place if he were Spanish. First, there are some players I´d took over him: Calderon, Rubio, Rodriguez (at least by now), Sada, Llull (not famous, but both have done more in FIBA than Jennings)... Still Jennings style does not fit good in Spain NT.

Not even close. Maybe in the U-20 team.

Jennings is WAY more valuable as a NBA prospect than as a current contributor to a good FIBA team.

Brandon Jennings is way less valuable than any PG of Spanish National Team(Calderon, Rodriguez and Rubio...)

If you are talking about right now then no way in hell but he as the potential to be more than good enough in a couple of years.
