Obviously, but the same people saying those things are projecting him to go 6th in the draft. He makes me nervous too, I think we need to keep an open mind.

The only true pg (available at our current pick) that I like is Ty Lawson. yes he is only 6'0, but he is very strong and is a smart, pass first pg. Compared to Terrell Brandon...one guy said he is a poor mans CP3. Take that for what its worth.

Jennings, Derozan scare me too much. I am worried about the recent performance of Harden, but he still seems a lot like Roy coming out (good at many things, master of none), plus Roy stayed all four years. Evans is similar but more athletic and not quite as big.

I love Chad Ford's loto simulator. Apparently if we don't take Jennings, he nearly falls out of the lottery back to Phoenix at #14.

Stephen A. Smith needs to stay away from draft coverage. He's compared Griffin to Len Bias. That's absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with Worm Guts, gotta keep an open mind about Jennings, especially since most (all) of us have seen comparatively little of him compared to the other guard prospects. Everyone (save Rubio) has their downsides this year, it's really hard to quantify them with limited information. Comparing Lawson to Jennings is bordering on impossible. I really like Lawson's D and three point shooting. He's climbed up my list quickly in the tournament, as he has everybody else's. But does he fit with Al? ie, can he play in the halfcourt? Can he develop a midrange game?

idk if Jack McClinton has been mentioned as a possible 2nd rounder here or not - he sounds like he could be McCants with brains, though he's even more undersized. I don't think I've ever seen him play, but I'm going to look for some clips today.

Whats Jennings' "attitude problem" about? The fact that he didnt want to play College Ball?

Pretty sure there were reports about him getting in trouble for his lack of hustle during practice and complaining about the coach making the team run during practice.

I've mentioned him once or twice. He seems like an Eddie House clone to me. I don't see him as a viable PG, but he could play 15-20 min off the bench just as an offensive punch off the bench. That's good value in the 2nd. Two PG's that I would like to seriously consider are Ben Woodside from North Dakota State and Aaron Jackson (DX has a PIT preview write up on him on their front page slide show right now) from Duquesne. Both are deadly 3pt shooters and have better PG instincts than McClinton.

Jennings will be a good point guard in the NBA, allstar at best, serviceable roleplayer at worst

he is bigger and more athletic, but he still is a bassy-type. Hot/cold shooter with streetball crazy handles. The issue is that his mental focus is off. He does not care about defense according to some and his attitude is immature. Of course, he is a kid and all that stuff gets blown out of proportion. Lets interview him and see what happens. I personally believe ur pg is your leader and they need to love defense. So he rubs wrong just based on that.

Also--based on the bassy comment. Do not confuse him as a pass-first pg. Jennings is very much a scoring pg. If anything, he has shown he can "turn it on" and score almost at will. (*in high school, not in europe) His europe struggles worry me.

Demarre Carroll - 6'8 225 SF/PF from Missourri (and John Carroll Catholic HS Rev)

could be a good value pick to fill that big SF role in the 2nd half of the draft if we go another position with our first couple picks

sound like he's off to a good start at Portsmouth

I'd really like to inject some athleticism into this team-
My dream is a Griffin/Lawson/Young draft...
however we'll probably end up with Harden/Calathes/Meeks and I'll need to be institutionalized

I am shocked by all the bubble guys that turned down the tourney.

Carrol gives me nothing over Gomes. If we draft a sf it needs to be someone that gives us more than Gomes. More than Brewer (*unless he is a 2) and more than Carney (*whom we likely will not resign) We have a lot of "pieces" there and adding another player that needs minutes does nothing for me unless it is someone we project to be a stud. I do not think that player exists in this draft.

If I was the front office I would focus on adding a dynamic backcourt player, specifically pg. Everything would revolve around that. I would look at trade options also. But I am excited to see what Brewer can bring next year.

I agree with Rev on passing on Carrol. He's a late second to undrafted in my book-- and I'm a Mizzou fan. I think the only SF's I'm interested in are Clark and Young.

I could see us moving on AFA with the idea that he will give us nothing for 2 years. Biggest project in the draft. If he falls to the Miami pick (*as DX has him right now) I would love it. But that miami pick is our gamble pick. Grabbing AFA and putting him in the NBDL might be a decent idea.

AFA at #18? When the hell did that happen? I was just on DX last night and they had us taking Teague with that pick.
