I remember last year in the playoffs when he pulled Pierce's jersey completely out of his shorts, in order to make a 'steal.' I still don't understand how the refs missed that.

Big Ticket already told GP and Craig Sager that the C's believe they play 5 on 8 every game (during the all-star weekend). And it doesn't matter. Because we're still the best team.

Of course LeBron is scary. But you need only look at the Celtics vs. Chamberlain matchups for some precedent. Granted, we're not THAT good. But then again, LeBron is not AS dominant as Wilt was. Point being, this is nothing new.

The Celtics can still beat LeBron and company, just like they beat Wilt and company.

another thing. it would be great if there were some stats to bear it out, but by the looks of it, nobody gets LeBron to collect fouls as easily as Paul Pierce does. So it's not as bad as it looks

It's quite common for KG or Pierce to play in foul trouble from early in the game...with LeBron? Not so much...

Did you know he has never had more than 4 fouls in a game ALL SEASON and has not fouled out at all this season?

another thing. it would be great if there were some stats to bear it out, but by the looks of it, nobody gets LeBron to collect fouls as easily as Paul Pierce does. So it's not as bad as it looks

Paul's fancy footwork can throw Lebron off balance - that's how he can get some fouls. But we still have to rely on Paul's years of great play to get enough respect vs. the refs. The big problem with NBA refs is that they simply make up calls because they don't see the action. No game needs electronic help more then the NBA..

In tennis they can now track whether the ball is out. In baseball the can check homeruns.. But in basketball they simply guess alot of the time.. Someone misses a layup well if that guy was good it was a foul. If he wasn't good no call. It makes little difference if there was a foul or not.

The everyman or rookie or hustle guy can get ripped. Mikki Moore gets TONS of calls against him. Not that he doesn't deserve some of them but many of them he gets simply because the refs have decided he is not very good.

A guy like Bill Walker is another kind of guy who will get hosed. That's partly why you need stars and vets to win in this league.

I even think this works with "good defenders" guy like Rip Hamiliton and Bruce Bowen get away with MURDER. Why because they have established themselves as 'good defenders." No doubt in my mind the NBA is not properly officiated. They need to seperate the refs from Stern..so they are not directly accountable to him.

Reminds me of the playoffs last year when Pierce was dribbling in the open court and LeBron was running next to him, and they bumped into each other, with Pierce somehow being called for a charge, despite LeBron being in mid-stride. Any other player it would've been an obvious blocking foul. Oh, and the fact that he's allowed to travel in the lane and gets free throws at the slightest contact with another player.

Artest actually pulled down Pierce's shorts below his hip and no one saw it.
