Victory Cigar: Win over Nets

Post#1 » by Rocky5000 » Thu Apr 9, 2009 2:53 am

Close one, but we pulled it out in the end. The bench got us back in the game in the 2nd quarter, and really outplayed their NJ counterparts, so most of the choices are guys off the bench.

Has to be Rondo, but i loved the game breaking play from Eddie yet again, he takes a close game and gives us space time after time, great guy to have

solid work from the rest of the bench too

Thought Perk played well and I voted for Rondo but he also made a game of it so that is kind of weird he needs to get his act under control. But damn is he good.

I really love our backcourt rotation right now. It was right on paper to sign Marbury to get House off the ball but to this extent? Now if only KG and Scal would be healthy :(

I love Marbury-House back court off the bench! When KG, Powe and Scal return we will have a great second unit!

I am going with House today...

Went with Rondo. However I too am very excited about a bench of Davis, Powe, House, Marbury. Marbury is really playing well.

Perk, Marbs, Moore, House, all had good games, but it's gotta be RONDO!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Davis was horrid last night. I'm interested to see if his good play as of late is something that will be sustained or if it was an anomaly...we shall see...same with Moore...he was good the last few games...let's see if he can keep it up...

I wouldn't say Baby was "horrid." If you're going to call his game last night "horrid," you'd have to call Pierce's "horrid" as well.

Rondo gets the cigar--what a great game!

well there's only one ball. And if Pierce isn't scoring he's not going to look good as he usually does.

8 points and 3 boards no TO's and the only starter who was an even +/-. If that is a horrible game for Davis you must think he is pretty good.

Moore had a really nice game over all but I thought he struggled late in the 4th when the ish kind of hit the fan. It is odd to see guy so athletic be a step slow at the same time. It reminds me of myself, well without the "so athletic" part. He just doesn't get to any loose balls or carve out any space. I wonder how it is going to work out with him in that PJ role. PJ couldn't jump or really do anything besides take charges and carve out space but that is pretty vital stuff in a playoff game. It does seem Perk is much more of viable option in late game stiuations than he has been in the past.

^No, what I saw from Baby did not impress me...8 pts, BFD, he looked like ass in general...plus I just flat out don't like the guy so that'll color my judgement, too!

Perk was awesome, though!

I never said anything about Davis from last night. So calm down first of all. I merely said that I'm excited about the bench come playoff time that would include Big Baby.
