Well we got a win in game 3.

Zach Miner was in love with his breaking ball tonight. Got him in a jam a few times but the defense behind him saved him more than once.

Ryan Perry looked very nervous but had great speed on his fastball.

Fernando Rodney looks slimmer and had great control of his body tonight on his delivery. I don't know if he's doing yoga or what, but whatever it is, he should keep it up.

Cabrera with 2 home runs and 4 rbis. Inge with another hr and stole second after getting hit by a pitch. He also fielded some great plays. He just looks completely confident. He should have a great season if he stays healthy.

What about Josh Anderson throwing out Alex Rios at home from deep right? He is very impressive. They claim he can play all three outfield positions, but he looked better in right tonight than left two nights ago. Something to keep an eye on throughout the season.

Rick Porcello gets his first ML start tomorrow.

^ Very excited about the Porcello start, though i will miss most of it while in class. damn!

But Miggy is just coming out on fire. Same with Inge. Good signs there

Miner was always a good starter, an awful reliever. When Bondo gets back, i would be inclined to send down Porcello to work on stuff and keep up Zach

Small sample size, but it is encouraging that we've had 2 out of 3 solid starts so far. Nice to see the bullpen hold this one together. Probably wishful thinking to believe theres more of that to come, oh well.

Good to see we got a win. At least this start won't be as dismal as last year's was, we've officially won one in the first 7 games!

Well according to Rod and Mario, Jim Leyland loves Miner as a reliver. He really wants him in the bullpen. I wouldn't be shocked to see Miner in the bullpen when Bondo comes back and seeing rincon or bonine sent down to the minors. Of course, if Porcello can't handle the pressure up here, things might change, but from the sounds of it, Zach only got the starting nod because of all the people out of the rotation.

Porcello looks good. Gave up a hr in the 5th to Hill, but came right back and got back to back strike outs against Alex Rios and Vernon Wells.

Well to be fair, two of his three runs were home runs. Once again, he's credited for another run. He gave up 3. The man he left on base did not score. Yet he's credited for 4 runs? Same thing happened with Edwin. Edwin only gave up 1 run they gave him 2. Something should be said to the Tigers organization about this.

^^
Sort of like the NBA, stats are updated throughout the season, I'm sure Edwin will have that game fixed, in fact, he was only credited for 1 run by ESPN.

Well, crap.

Not exactly the greatest start to the season, but it least it wasn't all bad.

Next up: Rangers. They actually have a worse pitching staff than us (last year at least).
