Our backup is looking a little better about this draft. If Rubio can only work out his buy out ill be confident in this draft. While blake Griffin is the best player, I would be ok with Rubio since he would fill a need and fit in better with the team. I hope that it works out and he plays in the nba next year so we can have a fall back if griffins out.

Like I've been saying all along, if NIKE wants Rubio to enter the draft he will; and rumor has it NIKE has designed a new Rubio shoe that is set to launch with his NBA debut. It's all about the shoes. He's set to make a mint off of endorsements if he enters now instead of waiting. Just think how much it will cost him to wait.

I can see it now, the Kings draft Rubio and we have to wait 2-3 years for him to come over. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Kings hired a guy that negotiates these kinds of things all the time to be the assistant GM.

I would really have to say anything after rubio or griffin would be Jennings in my mind. He has the most potential to be a star. Also, you may think i'm crazy, but if Jennings is gone if we get the 4th i would take Harden over Thabeet. I just think thabeet has more down than upside, and ultimately wont be able to keep up with the pace. i could be wrong.

There are still some very interesting players in this draft. Harden, Clark, etc. And if Monroe declares I can think of no better compliment to Hawes than him. Petries wet draft come true!

Eh, I like Tyreke Evans size, versatility and proven commodity as a frosh in the NCAA tournament more than I like Brandon Jennings. I think i'd take Evans at #3 before I took Jennings.

And how do you know how everybody feels? Lots of GMs get mancrushes on given players (i.e. McHale for Love). It's just way too early in the process to say anything like that. And even if you're right, it's not like the picks still won't have more value than say, our pick last year. People are still going to look at the #3 pick in a crappy draft more highly than the #12 pick in a good draft, usually (not in hindsight necessarily, but hindsight is just irrelevant right now). That's still something of value. It may not be what we want, but it's no reason to lose all hope.

I agree, I think jennings could be a star. he passes with ease and seems to dominate while being flashy, hes just risky to bust. I see his celing as a chris paul/tony parker type, but i also see him being speedy claxton or someone like that. So i want griffin, rubio then jennings. after those three ill be dissapointed.

After seeing how thompson and hawes are meshing together i really want one of the pg's, but i cant see passing on griffin if we get first. someone would have to have monster workouts to pass on griffin

Rubio strikes me as one of those high risk, high reward players. He could end up changing the franchise and have a great career. Either way, it would be very interesting if we end up getting him, especially since he seems to be a petrie style player.

I hope the Kings get the #1 pick and trade it for Rubio and more. Griffin does seem to be the kind of Big that can change a franchise. Griffin may not quite be at Webber's level but he is worth the #2 pick (Rubio) and another first round pick or good rotation player.

My wish for the Kings is to Draft Rubio and more young talent as Petrie sees fit. And sign Eddie Jordan as the Kings head coach.

I would also take Rubio over Griffin as well.
So if we get #1, I'll trade Griffin to Wizard for Rubio + Blatche/McGee/Young/McGuire.

Why couldn't all three of them co-exist on the team. We can take Griffin and trade for a proven PG in the NBA. I like Rubio, but I don't think his game will translate well in the NBA. He needs to be refined.
