Why? T-Mac for Duncan is totally fair.

speaking of T-Mac...

http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5051392

Orlando and Houton have come to an agreement.

Shard/Pietrus/09 2nd for T-Mac/White

Orlando loses out from a health/production standpoint but we want to explore the 2010 Free Agent crop and this gets us there by shedding a ton of 2010 salary.

Orlando accepts.

Orlando and Houston trade approved; please update your rosters

Walter Sharpe
Antonio McDyess
Richard Hamilton
Rasheed Wallace
Tayshaun Prince
Will Bynum
Tor 2nd Rounder 2009(pick 35?)
Det 2nd Rounder 2010

once again this line up

Miller/Bynum/Ivey
Rip/Louis Will/Rush
Prince (can play 35mins plus)/Sharpe
Brand/Mcdysse/Marshall
Sheed/Ratliff/Smith

is a couple decent bench players away from a title... and i dont care what anyone says.... its basically the same team detroit team that won the title (except no bench) minus BILLUPS add miller and minus wallace add BRAND. if i can land a decent back up PG and C its over or this game is fixed

this is the best deal so far thats work and i like it the best... its a deal....

This is a tough decision and will upset someone either way... I'm going to let this trade go through this time

Reasons:
1. Both GM's are really happy with the the trade, and Philly feels that he has a championship team.
2.Some GM's pointed out if the 1st were removed then the trade would be more fair; well dumping 17-18 million in committed salaries of Evans and Green for the next 2 years is definitely worth 2 later 1st rounders (maybe even someone like Speights could be added as well) since cap space is very valuable with the economy as it is and the salary and luxury cap dropping and evans and green are both definitely overpaid.
3. Philly's roster is pretty much set for the next couple years in real life since they have lots of salary committed. Thus if he wanted to go in a new direction, the only way to do it is through trades; and he feels that this is the way that he should go.
4. Also, the big discretion seems to be in the value of Young and Speights; and since they are so young many people will have vastly different opinions on their value and it should be taken into account

I tried to assign values and compare players
Prince for Iguodala, 09 1st (pretty even IMO)
RIP/McDyess for Young (depends on young's value, I'd say Detroit gets better)
Sheed/sharpe for Dalmbert (depends on Dally's value, IMO Philly gets better value)
2 2nd rounders/bynum for Evans/Green/10 1st/ Speights (again the salary dump I talked about in point #2, so I would say it is pretty even because of the salary implications)

YES!!! Ok thanks I'll update my 08/09 roster. Nice trading with you PHI. For anyone interested in my 'young' guys send offers, I'm willing to trade Thad and Speights (though I love them so you better come hard)

Prior to deal, Cleveland waives Lorenzen Wright.

Cleveland trades Mike Bibby ($14,983,603) Brian Cardinal ($6,300,000) 2011 CLE 2nd to New York for Jared Jeffries ($6,049,400) Larry Hughes ($12,827,676) David Lee ($1,788,033)

Cleveland accepts. We think David Lee will fit better here than Bibby will, and we have the PGs needed to fill Bibby's void.

New York accepts, while it was hard to part with Lee. He was not the type of player we felt we could build around. Since our aims are not on signing LeBron in 2010 like everyone seems to think we figured we would do Cleveland a favor and give them a piece to keep LeBron where he is in Lee so that we dont have to deal with him incase he landed in New Jersey. Parting with Jeffries was my #2 priority so that is out of the way now. While hughes was working very well in our system the team is going in a different direction and his contract wasnt a part of it. We welcome Bibby and Cardinal to the lineup.

This guy got rid of Curry and Jeffries without giving up his pick. Great job here.

The Celtics and Hawks have come to an agreement on a blockbuster deal:

ATL trades/BOS receives:

Zydrunas Ilgauskas $10,841,615
Speedy Claxton $5,757,818
Al Horford $4,026,720
JJ Hickson $1,329,480
Solomon Jones $797,581
ATL 2009 1st round pick (unprotected)

Total: $22,753,214

BOS trades/ATL receives:

Kevin Garnett $24,751,934
Brian Scalabrine $3,206,897
Gabe Pruitt $711,517 (minimum salary, doesn't count in incoming total)
Bill Walker $542,114 (minimum salary, doesn't count in incoming total)
Mikki Moore $378,683 (minimum salary, doesn't count in incoming total)

Total: $27,958,831

22,753,214 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 28,541,517
28,541,517 > 27,958,831

The Celtics accept. We're excited to start off the rebuilidng process by getting a young stud to anchor our frontcount in Horford, a young big man with a lot of potential in Hickson, a 1st round pick, and a bunch of salary flexibility.

Atlanta accept, they get their 3rd all star in KG who will anchor their defense and bring leadership and hopefully lead this team to a championship :P They also get 2 small contracts to fill the rooster next season in order to avoid going deep into luxury tax.

The 76ers reached a deal with the clippers today

76ers trade/Clippers Recieve:

Andre Miller (EXP) $10,333,333
Rasheed Wallace (EXP) $13,930,000
Louis Williams $4,500,000 - $4,972,500 - $5,000,000 - $5,176,000 - $5,351,500
Jason Smith $1,326,360 - $1,418,880 - $2,187,913 - $3,135,279

total salaries: $ 30,074,693

FOR

Clippers Trade/76ers recieve:

Marcus Camby $10,000,000
Baron Davis $11,250,000
Ricky Davis $2,300,000
Brian Skinner $1,262,275
Steve Novak $797,581
Mardy Collins $1,034,760

total salaries: $ 26,644,616

Reason For Philly:
After the trade with detroit we got rasheed. We risked the chance of losing sheed and miller for nothing threw free agency so this way we fill in our PG spot and C spot plus got VERY useful bench players..... Camby still fits our new defensive outlook will B.D. will pick up some of the scoring load. We get shooters and vets for my bech out of this deal... while losing the lengthy deals of non productive players in my mind of Jason smit, and Louis Williams. Good deal for both sides. Were working on a few more deals to improve our bench.

The clippers accept and are glad to shed salary and move on with their rebuilding process. Baron Davis wasn't really working out for us and we though dumping close to 17 million in this deal will help us continue with the rebuilding and free up some more PT for our young team. Although we don't think we'll be active in this season's Free Agency, its just another attempt at cleaning house, something that Clippers desperately need in order to move ahead.

The Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Bobcats have reached an agreement:

Rockets trade:

Carl Landry
Kyle Lowry

Bobcats trade:

Raja Bell
2010 1st round pick (top-5 protected)

Why for Houston: We gain a defender and a great chance at getting a good pick in the deep 2010 draft. This puts Brooks into the spotlight, and while Landry is a very good young big, his production is mitigated by the rotation ahead of him.

This trade is void since Charlotte cannot trade its first round pick since it is already committed to Denver in the Ajinca trade last year;

Charlotte's Debits
2009 first round draft pick to Denver
Charlotte’s own 2009 1st round pick to Denver (top 14 protected in 2009, top 12 protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011, top 8 protected in 2012, top 3 protected in 2013, and unprotected in the 2014 NBA Draft). [Charlotte-Denver, 6/25/2008]

Orlando and Atlanta have reached an agreement...

Hedo/Jameer for Marvin/Delonte/Flip/Gardner

Marvin/Delonte/Flip/Gardner salaries...

$5,636,142 + $3,850,000 + $1,500,000 + $711,517 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $14,722,073.75

Jameer/Hedo salaries...

$7,700,000 + $6,864,200 = $14,564,200

14,722,073.75 > 14,564,200

and the BYC math...

$5,636,142 + $3,850,000 + $1,500,000 + $711,517 = $11,697,659

$7,700,000 /2 = $3,850,000 + $6,864,200 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $13,492,750

$13,492,750 > $11,697,659

Trade works financially even with Jameer's BYC

Orlando is happy to shave some salary while getting younger and better defensively.
This fits well with our 2010 goal while keeping us competitive in the meantime.

Orlando accepts the deal.

Atlanta accepts the deal and is very happy to add Jameer Nelson to the mix along with his unbelievable cheap contract. Nelson will make Mo Williams expendable so Atlanta could look to move Mo Will for a quality starting Center. Atlanta also take a gamble on Turkoglu who might opt out on his deal but if he opts out Atlanta would have capspace to go after another SF, if Turkoglu stays on his contract he is a bargain and would add more scoring punching and outside shooting.

The deal also helps Atlanta's 2010 FA plan since they don't have to offer Marvin a big deal (which i don't believe he will be worth), leaving room to resign JJ in 2010 for a max deal if necessary and also have KG and Nelson on the books and cap space for another FA.
