Why for Houston: We gain a defender and a great chance at getting a good pick in the deep 2010 draft. This puts Brooks into the spotlight, and while Landry is a very good young big, his production is mitigated by the rotation ahead of him.

This trade is void since Charlotte cannot trade its first round pick since it is already committed to Denver in the Ajinca trade last year;

Charlotte's Debits
2009 first round draft pick to Denver
Charlotte’s own 2009 1st round pick to Denver (top 14 protected in 2009, top 12 protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011, top 8 protected in 2012, top 3 protected in 2013, and unprotected in the 2014 NBA Draft). [Charlotte-Denver, 6/25/2008]

The pick will stay with Char because it will be under 15, so couldn't Char trade the pick between 5-14?

I could be wrong, but i'm trading the conditional rights to the pick...so I should still be able to trade those remaining rights.

If so: The Bobcats accept this deal. We get a solid pf in Landry and Lowry should help our second unit tremendously. We'll miss the defense that bell brings, but we wanted a younger team.

You can, but I would need Houston to say that he would still do the trade even though he would only get the pick if it's between 6-12 in 2010; since if it is 13+ then Denver gets the pick. From the way the trade it is posted, he may think that he is getting the 1st rounder if it is anywhere between 6-30

once the philly/clipper deal is completed the timberwolves and philly have agreed on 2 seperate deals....

Telfair (2.3) and B.Brown (442,114)
for
W.Bynum (711,517), Ratliff (797.581), D.Marshall (797.581) and Toronto's 2009 2nd round pick and Detroit 2010 2nd round pick

Min waives Ratliff and Marshall then agrees to the second trade

Trade 2

K.Brown (4)
for
M.Collins (1,034,760), B.Skinner (1,262,275), R.Ivey (854,957) and Philly's 2011 1st round pick

reason for philly....
We add solid vets to the bench of the newly revamped championship caliber team. Picks mean nothing to the gm of philly so this is a good move for them. Kwame brings defense and toughness behind camby and telfair brings scoring and flair behind baron davis.... bobby brown is just a fill in but a nice young lil point guard.

Minnesota agrees, basically did the deal for the picks, the contracts I took back were not that bad, even though We have no use for a few of the players. Kwame and Telfair will be missed, but think Bynum can develope into a valueable player (look at what he is doing this past few weeks!) and getting extra picks is what this team is trying to get!

The Miami Heat and Washington Wizards have agreed to a trade.

Washington sends:

Caron Butler- $9,249,980
Brendan Haywood- $5,500,000
Darius Songaila- $4,234,000
DeShawn Stevenson- $3,616,071
WAS 09 2nd

Total- $22,600,051

Miami sends:

Mark Blount- $8,513,916
Michael Beasley- $4,314,960
James Jones- $4,010,000,
Dorrell Wright- $2,612,835
Daequan Cook- $1,273,200

Total- $20,724,911

Math works- $20,724,911 x 1.25 + $100,000= $25,906,138 > $22,600,051

Miami accepts. We needed to move Beasley to fill some holes here, and both Butler and Haywood are great team players. While the salaries of Songaila and Stevenson aren't exactly perfect, the can bolster our bench here.

The Wizards accept. Beasley is the type of elite prospect this team needs, and along with other young players (Young/Blatche/Crittenton/McGee/1st round pick this year/Cook) will form a nice young core. I get rid of Stevenson/Songaila and James Jones/Mark Blount/Dorrell Wright are all out of here before 2010.

TOR and DET announce a trade:

DET INCOMING:
Robert Swift- $3,579,131 (expiring)
Anthony Parker-$4,550,000 (expiring)
Chucky Atkins- $3,240,000 (expiring)

for

TOR INCOMING:
Samuel Dalembert- $11,238,564
Kevin Ollie- $797,581 (expiring)
2010 PHI pick (top 5 protected)

As soon as I made the PHI trade I intended to get rid of Dally. He makes an ungodly amont of money until 2011, I couldn't have that. I intended to use PHI's 2010 pick which will likely be in the 25-30 range to get rid of him. This accomplishs that goal. I intend to resign Parker as he is the perfect locker room presence for my young team, and a great backup SG.

LAL send
Ariza (3.1M)

to the Bobcats for

Oberto (3.5M)
and 2011 second

The lakers did this trade b/c they knew they were going to lose ariza in the offseason, and with many rumours surrounding andrew bynum at the C, we needed some1 who could step in at anytime and play the 5. Oberto brings a high bball IQ after being coached by one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Raptors Agree. Dalembert provides solid depth for big men but I needed that First Round Pick for a trade.

To follow up my Dally dump..DET and PHO have a blockbuster to announce.

DET INCOMING:
Amare Stoudemire-$15,070,550
Leandro Barbosa-$6,100,000

for

Thaddeus Young-$1,968,120
Allen Iverson-$20,840,625

DET is happy to add our PF of the future in Amare. He is fits in our 'young' movement at age 27, and we feel he will like this team and our direction and plan on signing him to a multi-year extension this offseason. Leandro will be our 6th man and is good value at 6 mill. We take a risk giving up a young stud in thad (who is locked in to his rookie contract for a few more years) and the huge expiring of A.I, but we feel that a Stucky/Iggy/Amare core can both compete now and be a force in this league for years to come. We still have two first rounders in the upcoming draft to either draft a center and SF, or trade for one. PHO did well, seeings as Amare wasn't resigning in PHO in a year.

Bobcats accept. We need a solid defender to come off our bench and Ariza fits the bill. We hate losing Oberto but this deal was too good to pass up.

BREAKING NEWS: THE UNBELIEVABLE HAS HAPPENED

Image

This trade is one for the ages. In the deal, the Cleveland Cavaliers trade LeBron James, along with Ben Wallace, Darnell Jackson, and their 2009 1st round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum, and their 2011 2nd round selection. (Trade ID: 5052558)

The Cleveland Cavaliers accept this deal. While we hate trading the best player in the NBA, we bring back the 2nd best player, along with a 21 year old center with a ton of potential. This also fills arguably our two biggest holes in our starting lineup, and allows Smith to move to his more natural SF position. We wish LeBron the best out in Hollywood, and are glad that we will only face him twice a year.

Cleveland accepts. We think David Lee will fit better here than Bibby will, and we have the PGs needed to fill Bibby's void.

Trade approved, please update your rosters; also in the future can you guys add up the salary from both teams as well.

total salaries: $ 26,644,616

Reason For Philly:
After the trade with detroit we got rasheed. We risked the chance of losing sheed and miller for nothing threw free agency so this way we fill in our PG spot and C spot plus got VERY useful bench players..... Camby still fits our new defensive outlook will B.D. will pick up some of the scoring load. We get shooters and vets for my bech out of this deal... while losing the lengthy deals of non productive players in my mind of Jason smit, and Louis Williams. Good deal for both sides. Were working on a few more deals to improve our bench.

Trade approved, (works even with Williams being BYC), please update your rosters.

This fits well with our 2010 goal while keeping us competitive in the meantime.
