I saw that on rivals. Doesn't NC already have a 5 star in Strickland coming in next season though?

Strickland is more of a combo guard. Wall would give UNC 3 straight elite level PG's in Felton, Lawson, and Wall. I think its a longshot anyway, but I can dream right? Wall and Strickland would be a freakish backcourt.

A Carolina fan on another forum tried to tell me Strickland was a PG and just as fast as Ty Lawson!

Haha thats comical! Strickland is not as fast as Lawson and his game compares to Russel Westbrook. That made me chuckle! haha

Hiring coach Cal is the best thing they could have done. They'll be loaded next year.

That wouldn't surprise me with Henry leaning there.

I'm reading that now that the Final 4 is over Wall and Roy are supposed to meet, I am smelling trouble brewing for the rest of the ACC!

This is ridiculous- John Wall potentially going to UNC!

I hope he just ends up with Baylor. They have a good team and are certainly capable of going far especially if Wall performs as well as expected.

I hope he goes to Duke personally, but if not then anywhere but UNC.

All signs look like he is leaning towards UNC, I don't wanna count my chickens before my eggs hatch but:

PG John Wall
SG Dexter Strickland
SF Marcus Ginyard
PF John Henson
C Ed Davis

(that lineup would ge the bulk of the minutes as opposed to Thompson in there.)

In the backcourt would be salivating...

So from what I gather, several things are at play in John Wall's recruiting from UNC:

- His AAU coach, Brian Clifton, doesn't want him to go to UNC because he is still angry one of his former players didn't receive a scholarship from the UNC coaching staff. Clifton also dislikes Roy Williams because he doesn't involve in the AAU coaches in the recruiting process, he prefers to talk to kid and his parents. Clifton has been encouraging him to go to Baylor where he is set to become the new Director of Player Development.

- John Wall himself is a lifelong Tar Heel fan.

- His mother has health issues and he would like to stay close to home if possible

- Roy was recruiting him early on but Dexter Strickland accepted the offer quickly and so UNC had no more scholarships to give out.

- Now that UNC has won and it is almost certain that Lawson and possibly Ellington may leave early, there most likely will be another scholarship that Roy can offer to Wall if he decided to.

- He has made it clear he intends to be one and done, so playing for either Carolina or Duke would garner him the most national televison exposure.

We will see though, I would not be surprised in the least if he went out of state. One thing is for sure, nothing will happen between Wall and UNC until Lawson declares for the draft.
