I am definetly in the "take Rubio over Griffin"camp. Rubio has the potential to be a pistol pete or nash like, while Griffin has the potential to be Amare like. Personally I think the Nash like player will help our team win more games than an Amare type player. And with Hawes and Thompson looking good overall this year I think it almost makes picking Rubio a no brainer. I am not so sure how well Griffin would fit in with the Princeton offense, I think Thompson and Hawes are better fits. We have been searching for a pg forever. Now we could have the chance to nab one of the most marketable young pg's with star potential. Seriously if Rubio is available we pick him whether it is first or second he should be our main target.

Rubio is far from a sure thing, and Griffin is as a sure thing as you can get. There is no way in hell you take Rubio over Griffin. Seriously, how can you choose an unathletic brick-chucker over an explosive big man who's been tearing it up all season?

I think if we get the #1 pick we could probably trade away Griffin for Rubio and get a future 1st or a decent player out of it.

I'd rather have Rubio than Griffin if we are just picking between the two.

Yeah, I have the same thoughts. We probably would trade it away or something. But either way, I would be content with Rubio or Griffin regardless.

One thing I learned from this season is that we have enough offensive fire-power and what we really need is someone who can run the team and play some defense.. That is Rubio.

And neither have played in the NBA yet, so neither is a sure thing.

exactly, neither are sure things. wasnt the candy man a sure thing center. they passed on vince carter, bibby, pierce, dirk and others because of oliwackandy. Griffin still has the potenctial to mave bad knees or not be able to over power big men in the nba. either way its risky, but if rubio plays next year i would personally rather take my risk with a need.

I cant wait for the lottery and the draft.

Agreed artest420. I'm excited for the lottery/draft.

If we draft Rubio with #1 or #2 pick, I think we should draft a backup C/PF with our later pick. Maybe pick up Blair or Adrien if available. It'd be nice to know when you go to your bench your bringing some toughness in.

I pray that rubio comes into this draft, cause we will get him if he does. If we get the 1, we'll trade down, if we get the 3 or 4, we'll trade up. He is going to be our guy if he enters, and I'm really excited to see if he does.

I think Rick is coming out. I don't think you pose for the cover below unless you have an intention of entering the draft. Also, from what I hear Nike is ready to endorse this guy, so me thinks he'll have enough to buy out his contract.

I think you're dreaming if we get the #3 pick or #4 pick. I don't think anyone is interested in trading out of the 1 and 2 spots.

I can see Washington and OKC trading the #2 if Griffin is off the board.

Would Washington trade #2 for Hawes, #24, and #31?

I don't know if they would but I wouldn't trade Hawes for that. Unless we are going to compete now or put together a larger deal for a superstar then we need to keep Hawes at all costs, he's going to be a special player.

They are already have Blatche, Haywood and as well as McGee. Unless, the Wizards just loves Hawes, I don't see them adding another big man to that roster IMO.

I could see someone trading for Thompson and the 24th if they don't like where they are drafting. With the Grizz, Wiz, Clips, OKC all having PG's I don't see Rubio that attractive to them. The Timberwolves could be interested in him though?

Think about this. If the Wizards get the #2 and we get the #1 I feel we have enough pieces to make a trade for Rubio.

Hawes
Griffin
Greene
Garcia
Rubio

Ricky Rubio would sell a bunch of taco's for the Rubio's franchise if he were to come here!

Since the Kings are struggling financially, the smart thing to do would be to draft Rubio. Why? Because Rubio is known more outside the U.S. than Griffin. People would pay to see Rubio play.
