Danny Talks today........

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Sun Apr 12, 2009 1:00 pm

And, as far as Rivers is concerned, all of the talk about his team’s road struggles in the playoffs last season - with the Celtics not winning away from the Garden in the first two rounds against the Hawks and Cavaliers, respectively - is overblown.

“We can win anywhere,” he said. “Everyone was circling the wagons last year, and I said we were fine.

“And then at the end of the playoffs we had the second most road wins. The Lakers were first, and then it was us and Detroit. We still believe we can win there. The Lakers beat them there. It’s a belief system that we now have.”

As far as the opportunity to smash Cleveland’s attempt at tying a Celtics record goes, Rivers will leave the pep talk to others.

“I’ll let Danny go in and talk to them,” he said. “He was on that team, so I’ll let him talk.”

Yeah, Danny should try to motivate and inform them--you don't want this fraud Clev team to tie this home record.

Sure, of course, no doubt, that we can win anywhere IF.....

1) We don't play scared against them at their homecourt with their crowd support.
2) Pierce, Ray, Rondo and Perkins won't be MIA

It seems like when we play there, we always get blowned out. Pierce is not relaxed and try to do to much (why is he trying to shoot back to back 3 pts?....out of poise?). Ray Allen, again, missing in action. Rondo becomes the old Rondo and Perkins is practically useless against a center that can shoot.

If these things don't change then.....

against CAVS:

Game 1 - we get blowned out by 20
Game 2 - we get blowned out by 15
Game 3 - we win by a hair
Game 4 - we win, best game of this series
Game 5 - we win by a hair
Game 6 - we get blowned out again by 15
Game 7 - we almost get blowned out then came back, but lost by 10

Yes, I'm a Celtic die hard, but I do worry.
