My problem is ESPN can set the agenda and actively root FOR or AGAINST certain teams...witness the despicable coverage of the 2007 Pats leading up to the Superbowl, especially...

And they are actively rooting FOR the LeCrabs (especially) and the Lakers to meet in the Finals...what a cesspool of unintelligent "sports"/entertainment dreck...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

although he's wrong that without KG the C's are the 3rd best team in the East...aren't we holding off Orlando without KG?

From reading the article, it looks like his point is that the Cs are no better than 3rd best in the East if KG doesn't play at all this year. The Cs held onto the 2 seed, but they were already 41 - 11 when KG went down against the Jazz. His wording in the article makes it clear to me that he's not looking at overall record, but at what the team has been since KG got hurt when making that statement.

Boston was the favorite to win it all going into the playoffs. After they struggled with the Hawks though, everyone moved to the Lakers bandwagon.

And even then, they were still the clear #2 choice ahead of SA, DET, CLE or anyone else.
