Finley Game winner over Kings!!

Post#1 » by GOBlazers » Mon Apr 13, 2009 6:56 am

What do you all think about this? Obviously your greatful that you escaped that close game with a victory, but what do you think about the NO CALL from the refs?

Everyone that watched the game could tell during the live feed that finley was late, but the refs overlooked it. Who is responsible for such bad refereeing?

I don't care who's fault it was we won lol.

It was definitely a missed call and a bad one at such a important time in the game.

Maybe it's just me, but if you listen to the shot-clock buzzer, it comes after Finley releases the ball. But it was clearly still in his hands when the shot-clock turned 0.....

I think refs determine whether it's a shot-clock violation based on the buzzer because they can't look at the shooter and the clock at the same time.

from a kings fan, i was pretty mad about it. i guess everyone wins tho. Spurs get a win and kings lock in the best lottery chances.

He had that ball in his hand for a short eternity AND the ref was right in front of him. The Spurs probably would've won anyways in OT, but jeez, that was a completely blown call and inexcusable on the NBA's part.

So karma takes a blown call loss by a 64+ losing team and makes it right by giving us "2009 version of 0.4"?

I thought karma should even things out in the big picture. Shouldn't a loss by a 64+ losing team be something a little less dramatic? Like Ime Udoka waking up with a slightly stiff neck because he slept wrong last night?

Wishing injuries on Spurs players that happen to be human for a ref missing a call in a game that doesn't matter is pretty hurtful. Don't worry Sacramento, the Spurs have been horrible before too, for two years between the George Gervin era and the David Robinson era. Ah the good old days, Alvin Robertson, Cadillac Williams, Frank Brikowski, Johnny Dawkins, aged Artis Gilmore and Johnny Moore. It goes in cycles, lighten up, it's just a game. Put the ball in the hole make millions of dollars.

I find it particularly amusing that it's mostly Portland fans complaining about this call.

Can someone tell me why they're coming in here and stating the bleeding obvious, as if we're to blame for a refereeing decision?

I think all 4 members of our board will agree it was a horrific call.
