OT: Jays off to best start in 8 years

Post#1 » by Alfred » Tue Apr 14, 2009 4:00 am

After this evening, the Jays are off to the best start they've had in 8 years at 6-2. Fueled by their high powered offense, they beat the Tigers 3-1, the Indians 2-1 and are currently ahead of the Minnesota Twins 1-0, a team that they have won 10 straight against.

The Jays are currently listed as #6 in the league in ESPN's weekly power rankings.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

Yes, I forgot to mention that in the initial post. Those are series wins-losses, not the scores of the games :-?

Travis Snider for ROY. We need more people at the Jays board though.

I never get excited about a fast start. With the Jays what matters more is how they're performing in the middle to end of the season.

I know baseball may be boring to some of you, but the Blue Jays board sure ain't! Crazy laughs over there.

I don't know what they were thinking with Tosca and Gibbons. Gaston was the obvious choice all along. This is why I say the Raptors need an experienced coach.

Gaston definitely has the team hitting very well. It's like night and day between him and Gibbons. Lind looks like an allstar this season.

you could add Tim Johnson and Buck Martinez to that list as well ... a lot of questionable coaches over the years

Lind pooped his pants twice today, really close to getting 4 or more RBIs ended up with zero.
