I forgot Luc Longley though, didn't I... Sigh

He averaged double digits, and Spurs liked him enough to give him more than the MLE. Considering where he was drafted, I'd call that a success.

I liked Rasho, even if KG didn't. Is there a Cole Aldrich and Rasho comparison there? Or is that me just comparing white guy to white guy? Cole Aldrich is the next John Stockton.

KG yelled at Rasho alot, but think they had a good connection on the court, at least during their last season together.

White guys should only be compared to white guys.

Not saying he didn't accomplish a few things, but I would go with serviceable at best. Possibly the best center MN has had, but that is more by default. Though the spurs signed him, I wouldn't say he was much of a cog in their success either. He filled a role as a roleplayer that started on some teams due to lack of better options, in my opinion. Where was he drafted again? I tend to forget.

Bottom line with Minny's history of foreign players - we have never had the opportunity to draft a Euro (or any other player for that matter) that is at Rubio's level. He is a special player, international or not. Most of our past international picks were late round reaches and/or drafting for a position.

Al really relies on no one- just give him the ball and watch.

Bingo. The advantage of trading Al for Rubio is, it opens the door for Pekovic to play here. I don't know whether Peckovic is as good as Al in the low post, but Pekovic + Rubio >> Al.

We NEED to trade either Al or Pekovic.

Didn't KG punch Rasho in practice?

^Really? I heard he didn't like Wally Z either.

What about starting Brewer and Miller at guard and forward? Maybe they could be the long term options there. I agree though that our team has built depth with bench players rather than legit starters.

Rubio/Telfair
Brewer/Foye
Miller/Gomes
Jefferson/Love
Center/Pekovic

Ah, wrong target on the punch, but there were rumors about Rasho leaving because he didn't get along with KG. I liked Rasho, though, and think he'd be a good bench center for us.
