What are your expectations in the post-season?

Post#1 » by ClutchCityOwns » Tue Apr 14, 2009 3:23 am

I'm wondering, what are your expectations. In all honesty, If we get 3rd seed I honestly expect us to reach the WCF. If we get 4th or 5th, I expect us to have a 2nd round exit, something even T-Mac wouldn't even be mad about.

Ask this question on Thursday morning when all the matchups are set.

Win the first round.

Anything else is gravy IMO without Tmac.

I would say we can take out the Nuggets without T-Mac, really T-Mac was a liability defensively sure he closed out our games, but he caused a lot of problems like dominating the ball and being useless on the other end.

It really depends on the matchups in my opinion. Depends on the seed.

- Win in the first round. We're not going to be playing the Lakers or even Denver in Round 1.

- If we come across the Lakers, win one game?

I get a feeling we win first round huge weight will be lifted off this team... even if we get knocked out after that...

I think... people will start looking at the Rox as a championship caliber team...

and players will look too come to us next year...

As long as we get out of the first round, I'll be happy. Or playing Utah and kicking the crap out of them would be most satisfying. That way we can shut all those wankers up for good. Also, I'll really be happy, as long as Cleveland don't win it. LBJ is starting to remind me of another of my most hated, and over rated players ever. (IMO Anyways) his Fairy Airyness, Madame Michelle Jordan!

Oh, did I spell his name wrong? damn.

And How dare I say he was over rated, (Like LBJ) well I got two words for ya. Western Conference. if LBJ is truly as great as he, and everyone else claims, he'll bring his game out West. Let's see how he does being shadowed by Battier and Artest more often, having to go aginst Kobe and the Fakers, I mean Lakers. He wouldn't do that well.

And when did this thread turn into an I hate LBJ Thread? Sorry guys, everyone spends so much time blowing soke up his proverbial, that it isn't often I get to hate on him.

Theres no reason we shouldn't be in the Western Confrence Finals. My expectaions are to get there and take our chances against LA...give them hell...and maybe pull off an upset. I'd love to beat Utah on the way there. Really we have no reason losing to anyone but LA. If we meet the Jazz again...it'll be tough...but we shouldn't lose. I'd pick us over everyone else exept LA, and would definitley have some nervous butterflys about playing the Jazz...but would still pick us over them.

I expect that we'll be in it. Past that, we could get knocked out in 6 in the 1st or run to the conference finals. Not too sure past that, but anything's possible with this team. We're a clear cut below the Lakers, but I still think we match up with them well in spite of the last drubbing they put on us.

There are two reasons I hope we get past the first round...
1. Because this team is very entertaining and I want to see them play as many games as possible
2. SO EVERYONE CAN ******* SHUT UP ABOUT "GETTING PAST THE FIRST ******** ROUND" EIGUOIUERtg0 947y98 3j-18 3u-98

We've been THAT brainwashed on the issue.)

Why is everybody so content with just getting out of the first round? I mean i know we havent done it over a decade but i mean c'mon really?

Once the Rockets get out of the first round, a HUGE weight will be lifted off the teams shoulders! If we get the 2nd or 3rd seed, I expect us to make the WCF. Once we get there I just want them to put up a fight against the Lakers.

Although it would be sweet if LA loses in the 2nd round to Portland or SA. Then we could we win the WEST !! :D
