Blinebury new writer for Hoopsworld
I guess I'll have to reconsider my hatred for hoopsworld, because I've been enjoying Fran's columns since high school. At least they have one credible writer.

Last week's Houston Press said Fran was shocked and upset about being laid off. Was never a huge fan but thought he was a decent columnist.

You people read his columns. The majority of it is complete speculation and bashing. Some of it is on point but most if it isn't. There is no place for Rocket bashing in a city that doesn't support the Rockets as they do the lowly Texans or inconsistent Astros. In a situation like that you can't employ an individual that writes articles talking ill of the coach, the team and its players.
Hoopsworld is perfect for him. Nobody will ever here from him again.

Haha I was thinking just what Iggy did. Not happy he got fired, even though I didn't like his writing, but given his tendencies to write emotional instead of fact-based stuff, he's definitely a better fit with Hoopsworld

I just thought he wasn't a good writer, period. He was very opinionated, antagonized readers of his blog, and had a very snobbish attitude. A lot of his blog articles were sensationalized and satirical, and I'm not talking about in a subtle, clever way but in a obvious and obnoxious one. I stopped reading his non-informational garbage a long time ago. That said, Hoopsworld is perfect for him.

Huh. I didn't enjoy everything he did, but I knew he for sure wasn't just sending his audience lip service. I always thought his blogs reflected exactly what most of us were thinking and feeling after the games. I actually thought he was more a fan than most writers because he was so far in it sometimes got the best of him.

Agreed. Nothing infuriated me more than reading his poetry that had a bunch of obscure and unintelligent innuendos. The guy acted like he's Oscar Wilde.

Seriously, even moofs is a better writer than Blinebury.

Blinebury was one of the first off the McGrady bandwagon and wasn't afraid to call him out.
