I love the insistence that sh00n stops using historical data and actual events over the course of NHL history to make his point. . .they dont count here. What counts is Boston is better. Just deal with it.

I've got to give Griff credit. He's been right more times more then he was wrong.

He was the one who made the sharks thread early on saying they're for real, and they went on to win the presidents cup.
He said Ryder was a good signing, and he really, really was.
He disagreed about lucic being a pansy, and lucic proved he wasn't a pansy when he knocked komi to the ground.

With that being said, I don't think the bruins will roll, I hope, but I see the habs shaking us up a little.

To be fair, Lucic only rolled Komi because he blew out his shoulder and couldn't defend himself anymore. It would have been a good tilt had that hot happened, imo.

The thing with Griff isn't whether he's right or wrong, it's the way he tells us... as if there's no possible way that he's wrong lol. That's all :) Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and so Griff can say what he would like. At the same time I recommend toning down the pompousness a little, and remember! You being entitled to your opinion, also means we are entitled to ours. As long as neither sides cross the line, it's all good.

P.S. Habs in 7 :)
P.P.S. I'm probably going to game 4 (waiting on confirmation on the tickets)

Woot! Looking forward to tomorrow's game!

I think the bruins - habs series is going to be an extremely close and tough played series. We will not roll over them. Its the playoffs and teams have to much pride for the rivalry to let that happen. I do believe that Boston just has too much power over the habs this year and will eventually come out on top. I am always nervous vs the habs and I am just as nervous as ever this year. Its our series to lose.

But we took the habs to 7 last year and if you compare rosters from this year to last year for the bruins we are a completely different team

07-08 Bruins PLayoffs
Glen Metro, Glen Murray, Petr Shaferer, Vladimir Sobotka, Petri nokelainen, Marco Sturm

the replacements for them
Patrice Beregeron (hurt 07-08), Michael Ryder, Mark Recchi, Blake Wheeler, Chuck Kobasew (hurt 07-08), Stephane Yelle

That's a totally different roster of forwards. PLus add in confidence and experience we gained from last year. Trust me its our series to lose.

You can say the same thing for the Habs though, adding Schneider, Tanguay, Metropolit, D'Agostini, Lang (injured :(), Laraque and Stewart while losing Begin, Ryder, etc.

Both teams are entirely different. The main difference is our big guns from last year like Higgins, Plekanec, A. Kostitsyn, etc underperformed like crazy this year while all Boston's young guys stepped up huge this year - just like the Habs of last year. Lucic, Wheeler, Krejci and Kobasew were all solid this year and stepped up big time while our big guns from last year went down.

Fun series either way!
