Would anyone do this trade?
Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Utah and Toronto being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Utah and Toronto had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Re: Would anyone do this trade?
Why in the world would Toronto do this trade? If they're complaining about Bosh's defense, wait till they see Boozer. Also, I don't think anybody would want to take on Kirilenko's contract.

I'd jump on it like a fat guy on a tripple whopper. I wasn't aware that Toronto's front office was comprised of toothless hillbillies produced from generations of inbreeding. if we added a shiny coin, I'm sure they'd go for it.

Re: Would anyone do this trade?
take away harp, add brewer and Millsap or the NY pick and then toronto would probably start listening.
Bosh really seems to be the only close to superstar player we could perhaps get.

If not that one, how about this one?

Reasons:
Bosh is younger, taller, and more athletic than Boozer. Toronto might take the trade because Boozer has an expiring contract (if he doesn't option out). The Raptors would only have to deal with Boozer for one season before they could let him go. He would give them decent production and a lot of salary cap space when his contract expires. I believe that Utah is in more of a "win-now" mode of operations and Bosh would help with this cause. When Boozer is healthy, his and Bosh's numbers are pretty similar.

Having him on a contract year would be far better than what Boozer gave us this year.
Could you imagine:
Okur/Koufos/Fesenko
Bosh/Millsap/Collins
Marion/Miles
Brewer/Korver/Almond
Williams/Knight/Price
Aint going to happen, so forget about it.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I don't think that Toronto would.

This is not a valid argument - Bosh is also an expiring contract so if that was what the raptors were looking for then they could just let Bosh walk..... Teams aren't in the business of helping other teams that are in "win-now" mode if it doesn't benefit them as well.... As this trade is proposed it doesn't benefit the Raptors at all. And I'm sure that Collangelo can get a lot more for bosh than Boozer.

And the reason you could get more for bosh than boozer would be??? I'm really curious.
Boozer shoots a higher percentage and rebounds better. Neither one is much of a factor defensively. How do you figure Bosh is an upgrade over Boozer??
