o/t. Orlando vs Boston Round 2 semi finals

Post#1 » by L&H_05 » Sat Apr 11, 2009 8:27 pm

Honestly, does anyone truly believe that's going to be a grueling 7 game series ?? I just get the feeling that the Celtics will finish them off in 5 games max..

Thoughts ?

I get the same feeling actually. I just dont see Orlando doing much in the playoffs, much like last year.

I think it really depends on how healthy Garnett is. If Orl shoots well from the outside and Bos doesnt have Garnett healthy I really see Orl having a good chance to beat Bos.

What team would the Cavs rather face, pistons or the celtics?

Pistons, we'd likely sweep Detroit. Boston is going to be a tough series for anyone if Garnett is healthy.

If the Celtics are healthy, they will handle the Magic with ease IMO.

I don't think anyone is giving the magic enough credit.

IF they get hot from outside, they will give Boston all kinds of trouble and IF Dwight Howard decides to play like he's designed to play then they should be able to beat Boston.

That's the thing though, you can't rely on getting hot to win a series. Good playoff team are able to grind it out in bad shooting games, playoffs are indeed a different beast.

I totally disagree with here, fellow Magic fan. Weak.

I want to agree with you but I just don't see it.

BOS healthy will take care of ORL. No doubt about it.

You all say Boston will win against the Magic because you guys are more scared for the Magic than for Boston.

I don't think when we all say "Boston in 5" it has anything to do with Orlando at all, junior. It has to do with the fact that Orlando lives and died on the 3 ball and defense in the playoffs will be very different at the arc. No easy looks, no easy feeds to Howard inside. Boston has decent interior defense and will make you guys work for ever bucket while they score a bunch also. I wish you good luck; but we fear no team.

The Magic's (great) chances of getting to the Finals went down the drain the moment Jameer Nelson got hurt.

A healthy Boston team beats Orlando.

If I'm Cleveland though, I'd prefer to play Boston. Especially considering how poorly the Cavs have matched up against the Magic.

If KG isn't right, the Bulls could shock the world. Even though they stunk in their finale Chicago has been playing real well and has the frontcourt size to give BOS problems. If Ben Gordon stays on fire.

OT: Has Ben Gordon ever passed the ball other than out of desperation? What a freaking gunner.

I see where KG might be out for the playoffs which really sucks. I wanted to see the Cavs beat Boston (or Orlando) with their full compliment of players. Now we will just hear excuses when the Celtics lose in the playoffs.

KG out for the playoffs is kind of weak. It cheapens our run to the Finals.

I don't want an asterisk next to our championship (if we were to win), I'd rather be battle tested in the semis and ECF before going into the Finals against LA.

Hopefully he can come back for the 2nd round.

If Orlando gets by Boston, you guys are in some trouble.
