I can't see that happening. McGee has as much (or more) promise than anyone the Wiz could get at 8.

IBTM, but I'm not sure there's anyone who'll be available at #8 who we'd trade McGee for straight up.

IBTM also. If Griffin, Rubio, or Wall (if he happened to be in the draft) were there, then sure. But at 8 there's no one likely to be there who would begin to interest me in trading McGee. I like how you snuck the 2nd round draft pick from the Wizards in there also. That was a nice touch.

Here's one way to think of it: if by some magical force, McGee were removed from our team and forced back into the draft this year, we'd likely redraft him with whatever pick we get outside of number one overall (some may argue at the two spot, but even still, almost for sure from three up). We definitely wouldn't throw in a top three second rounder, where you have a pretty good shot at finding rotation-worthy role player.

I think McGee would be taken ahead of Thabeet. That should pretty much answer the question.

Swap in Pecherov for McGee and you'd have a deal.
