Which prospects would you trade Love for?

Post#1 » by Krapinsky » Thu Apr 16, 2009 4:01 pm

No, I'm not just egging on DSW here. What I would like is a consensus on his trade value. So who from 2008-2010 drafts would you trade Love for? (I say 2010 merely to include Wall in the discussion)

Here is my list:

Rose
Lopez
Griffin
Rubio
Wall
Westbrook

On the fence:

Beasley
Mayo

We're talking straight up?

Rose is the only one that's an automatic yes for me.

Griffin, Rubio, and Wall are most likely, but I'd stop and think for a second.

Lopez and Westbrook I'd have to seriously consider, but would probably lean that way after considering the rest of our team.

Mayo I'd need some incentive.

Beasley I wouldn't.

depends on what we got in this upcoming draft, I wouldn't want to trade Love for Westbrook for example then turns out we get the #7 pick and Evans is the best player available and now our starting backcourt cant hit a shot beyond 17 feet

Adding to the list:

Devon Harris. Straight up, it's done.
Ramon Sessions. Man I know that value sucks, but I think a package with him would be intriguing.

Yes:
Wall
Griffin
Rose

Maybe(depends on other factors):
Lopez (to me love & lopez are equal, but lopez probably fits better on most teams)
Beasly (as a 3 if MN draft if MN drafts griffin)
Mayo (if MN drafts griffin)
Evans + incentive (if MN drafts griffin)

Possibly:
Rubio (I've never seen him play only youtube clips and he isnt an elite athlete so I shy away from zomg yes in that scenario. I'm just sceptical but cant argue with scouts and would probably say yes because everyone else does?)

My list:

1. Rose
2. Rubio
3. Lopez
4. Beasley (there is a reason why he dominated so much in college, he'll also do in the nba someday)
5. Griffin
6. Westbrook

I don't really know Wall because I'm not following high school basketball.

See OP: prospects from the 2008-2010 draft, not entire NBA.

Without a doubt :

Rose
Rubio
Griffin
Wall

For some players like Lopez, Westbrook i would need to think about it and probably wouldn't do it straight up.

I wouldn't trade Love for Beasley unless they add something intersting, but I know I'm not very objective, I just can't stand Beasley

Kind of agree with others.

Yes:
Rose
Rubio
Wall
Griffin

On the Fence:
Westbrook
Mayo
Lopez (about equal right now but I think Love might have the higher ceiling but Lopez fits better - meh)

Probably not unless something was added:
Beasley

Would you trade Love for the Washington #1 not knowing where they'll end up in the lottery??

Something like Love + Madsen for Etan + #1 pick.

I was wondering if there was going to be any Thabeet lovers that were going to throw him in the mix. So far so good.

I think both teams would rather wait until after the lottery to make that trade.

Are the Bucks going to throw in 2 1st rounders? Sessions went from underrated to overrated pretty quick.

If Wall and Rubio are in, and there is no debt attached them I make the trade. But nobody would trade anything other than an expiring for Etan+pick.

A Love for Sessions deal would have to include 2 1st rounders just to get us to answer the phone to negotiate. It would be like the Red Sox deal for Daisuke Matsuzaka, when they had to pay $50mil just for the rights to negotiate a contract.

So we get 2 1st rounders for answering the phone, then they'd have to give us Bogut and an additional 1st rounder with Sessions to make the deal.

Or they can just become our minor league development team. Our JV. We take the good players, and put the young guys on their roster to work things out.

For the #1 pick? I'd trade that for Blake Griffin in a second.
