I know Harden is much better than Gomes as far as athletically and play making ability. I just mean that their are comparable, because they both are very smart. That is because they need to be smart for them to compete at a high level on account of their lacking in athleticism. I'm just saying if Harden is below his peek then do we really want to draft another Gomes with the #6. I'm looking for the most likely star in the draft and I'm not thinking it's in Harden.

I easily could see Derozan as a star. He is so athletic and he has a smooth touch and great form despite what he lacks in his shooting right now. I think it'd be easy to bring him along as a shooter. Not like Brew-Crew, who had no touch and terrible form. I love Brew tho :-)

Evans means no Derozan, so I'm kinda being the negative Nancy right now. Evans' book to me matters on if he is a pure PG or not. Cause if he is, then I'll look at him harder...but if he is a combo guard then HECK NOOOO.

I'm ready to stop breaking social basketball norms. I think we got luck with Al and Love, because I could see it working in the future. But lets start drafting pure position now, cause I can't handle any SG who is only 6-4 unless he is FOR SURE D-Wade.

What happened to John Watters? I think your guys' "Griffin at SF!" thread might've given him an aneurysm

Glad to see my intention worked. Subsequent John Watters outbreaks tend to be periodic or episodic, occurring on average four to five times a year when not using antiviral therapy.

I would be happy with Maynor there. I waver between who I like better though, Maynor or Holiday.

I like Evans/Holiday and Maynor/Derozan combinations.

id be ecstatic with maynor there. i think behind rubio and jennings he is the best point guard prospect in this draft

Agreed. A lot of people have projected him as a back up throughout this season, but I think he'll turn into a career starter. The biggest question is, is he ready for the NBA now?

A draft of DeRozan/Maynor would have me excited about our future of our backcourt for sure.

Evans and Derozan is a difficult call for me. Both have incredibly high ceilings, I think Derozan has a higher floor because he plays within himself, can play off the ball, and at least has some form on his jump shot. Evans on the other hand has the aggresive nature that makes stars, so I think he's more likely to hit his ceiling.

a Derozan/Maynor draft would do a nice job of killing my draft buzz. Which would be nothing new. Last year redeemed itself the next morning at least.

Maynor reminds me of Sam. He could be a steal.

Maynor may very well be the best guard available at 18. I don't see what would be wrong with that.

If we miss out on one of the elite pg prospects than Maynor is almost a BCS at the 18th.

How is Maynor defensively? What about his passing and ability to run an offense? I haven't watched much of him, so I'm curious about his game. Sounds like he's got some great shot-making abilities, which I'd really like from a PG, and if he really does evoke Cassell then I'd love if we landed him.. Sam was awesome.

Funny - I got a Nick Van Exel vibe watching him, similar to the Sam references. I think he'd be a solid fallback w/Miami pick.

I love Maynor. I got to see him play 4 times this year, and am totally sold on his game.

I would love him at 18, but have a feeling he'll be gone by then.

That draft would have me pretty happy for the first two picks.

It was smart of Mills not to hire an agent, because he was likely to go late 1st/early 2nd anyways. With the chance he could Voshon Lenard it, I think he definitely drops to the 2nd.

I'd be happy, too. If Maynor is gone by then, then most likely another PG prospect will drop to us, so that's fine, too.
