I'm afraid that sentence is worded incorrectly.

Let me rephrase; Hmm, would it be insulting to finish it off with a BJ?

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Man, Cito had a great opportunity to take Halladay out after 6 innings (80 pitches) with an eight run lead. Instead he kept him in to reach 101. That is not bad for 7 innings, but I would prefer to rest our top guys when a game is out of hand.

It looks like 8-3 heading into a homestand against the A's and Rangers. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts.

It's the joke that keep on giving.

And the answer's "yes". To both questions.

I know he's standing in between the franchise and his playing time, but I sort of like Bautista. Seems like a pretty versatile player that hits decently.

A pretty convincing series win. Hopefully this good start is an indication of how the rest of the season will be.

Rios has been OK with RISP, but man...if he can just get of the schnide and actually start to pound the ball, look out.

The big difference between Rios this year vs. Rios last year is how he brings his hands in on inside pitches. A couple years back, he seemed to pull his hands in close to his body and get the head of the bat out in time to turn on pitches, lining them into short left field or right down the 3rd base line. This year, everything middle-in seems to jam him resulting in weak ground balls to the shortstop or foul balls... He's kind of going through the exact opposite thing that Rolen has this year.

Despite all his struggles, I don't doubt that he'll end the season with a .270-.290 average, 12-20 HRs, 15-25 SBs, 75-95 RBIs. He's too talented not to.

I read somewhere Perkins (the Twins pitcher) said something about how the league has Rios figured out now and how he tries to pull everything, so they pitch accordingly. I'm thinking he just needs to adjust to this because he does look like the Twins did their research on him (went 4 for 20 this series), while he did okay in the other series.
