Trade game: Drop Booz, pick up Bogut

Post#1 » by DelaneyRudd » Fri Apr 17, 2009 4:01 am

OK, lets hear any ideas you think could work:

Trade Boozer, get back Bogut in a deal that will be fair for all parties including the extra teams you may need involve. Only D-Will is off limits. Make me proud, kids.

FWIW, I really don't think Bogut is what the Jazz need.

Boozer for Bogut. Done, salaries work both ways ;)

Actually I think something like Miles+Boozer for Bogut+filler/pick would work well for both teams. Milwaukee will be looking to dump Redd, so getting a nice young shooting guard would...well...be good. IF we could somehow land Bogut and CV (to replace Booze) that would make it even better, but I doubt it happens.

I'd go for a Boozer for Chris Duhon and David Lee type of sign and trade... Boozer is tailor made for Eastern Conference and we need a solid backup PG, aggressiveness on D, blocks and rebounds...

I rather take a shot at Okafor then Bogut but I guess I would take either if the opportunity came up.

Bogut has higher upside and is a legit center. With Deron feeding him, I can see him being a real two side of the floor player.

If the Knicks need to dump Lee, and they want Boozer, maybe we should swap players, and maybe we could do some dealing with picks for future picks, like: Boozer + 2010 1st round pick (via NYK) for Lee + Duhon + 2011 1st round pick. With Duhon they can't play Nate! :-D

Good passing teams win games, this team is missing a great passer in the middle and that is exactly what Bogut brings.

Look at what happened to the Lakers after they got Gasol, the reason they are so good is because they are the best passing team in the league and Gasol is a huge part of that.

Oh, and hell no on Lee, he's a poor man's Carlos Boozer, good rebounder, not a defender, and he scores a hell of a lot less efficiently then Booze. No need for that guy.

I like the idea of Bogut in Sloan's system but I don't think I like him and Okur together. Maybe bringing Okur off the bench with Millsap starting.

I don't think Okur would be stoked coming off the bench, he's a starter, he deserves to start on our team.

I don't see the problem with a bogut/okur como. Okur does better spreading the floor shooting jumper's anyway. Combo that with Bogut banging down low, whats not to like?

I don't think Bogut is the answer to what ails the Jazz. If the goal is to move Boozer for a similarly priced player, then Okafor is the best option. I don't think thats the way the Jazz want to go, however. Someone like Joel Pryzbilla makes a lot more sense financially.

Trade boozer for the only big man who is softer in the league, omm no. Bogut is so overrated by utah fans.

Trade boozer or preferrably okur or kirilenko for Marcus Camby

So do you disagree? Kirilenko is about worthless anymore. Deron is about half the scorer Roy is and Roy is a better defender.

How the hell is Portland going to take in over $30M for Roy who's getting under $4M on his rookie contract?
