Predict the draft order (first 8)...

Post#1 » by GrizzledGrizzFan » Fri Apr 17, 2009 6:58 pm

For joy. Once again Stern-0 and his minions (the Evil Ping Pong People) have conspired against the Grizz.

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... aft_order/

Here's my guess:

1 - Oklahoma City
2 - New York
3 - Phoenix
4 - Sacramento
5 - LA Clippers
6 - Washington
7 - Minnesota
8 - Memphis

Stern REALLY wanted the Grizz picking 9th, but since he's already promised Griffin to OKC... Phoenix get's this year's consolation prize and New York is rewarded with RR.

OKC needs Griffin.
D'Antoni needs his Nash(Rubio)
Glen Taylor is the President of the Bard of Governors or some crap, so Minnesota gets the third pick and Thabeet.

So memphis only falls to 7. Still can likely get Jordan Hill there since Sac-town has their two big men, Clippers need pretty much everything except for a SG, so they'll take Harden, Washigton will take DeRozan.

Currently the Grizz are at the sixth spot until the draft lottery next month. I'm not liking our chances of cracking the top three right now unless a big miracle happens to roll the Grizz's way.

The Knicks would love to trade that 2nd pick for Mayo. Stern owes us big time so we are pretty much guranteed a top 3 pick at this point.

Mayo is great but I wouldn't give up Rubio for him. Probably anyone else not named Griffin, though.

How exactly does Stern owe New York? Have you ever heard of a man who goes by the name of Patrick Ewing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TgJE7C5wiU

By the way, I'm with GrizzledGrizzFan on the Rubio for Mayo trade... HELL NO.
