Anybody here who is talking bad about Ray Allen is wrong...

Post#1 » by Matt34520 » Sat Apr 18, 2009 8:01 pm

Ray is been good all year for this team. People are saying he choked when we need him most....WTF

he stepped last year in conference finals and the finals. Ray made key shots against Detroit ecspecially that got us that title.

Everybody has bad games and bad moments. Pierce had a 6 point game in the finals last year, things happen.

Someone said he just contract to us now, thats rediculous. And if Pierce would have made that free throw, we probably would have won anyway.

The truth is, were not the same team anymore. I wish we were, and hope they can still make it atleast to the second round.
Ray still got game.

Ray Allen is a legitimate clutch player. Paul Pierce is not.
Ray Allen had an off night. Paul Pierce had a typical night.

but he stepped up when it mattered, in the conference finals and the finals...

he is a significant reason why there is a 17th banner in the TD banknorth garden rafters.

The basketball IQ of this forum today has dropped down to like the negatives. People have short term memory man...Ray is an excellent basketball player..he just had an awful night, as did the whole team...give it a rest..

no ray allen sux

i said this before and got blasted, just blasted by the board, i said ray would kill us this playoffs

and he starts off with the worst performance i have ever seen, it was just disgusting

now his defense is being shown because KG isnt behind him to cover for his ugly defence.

they have fun on ray allen, the way they go at ray is funny because he is so bad., if ray is in the visinity of a bulls player the shot goes in because hes just so bad defensively.

Big Baby sucks bigtime, especially defensively.

But ray allen is suppoed to score because we have to compensate for the bad D. but he cant even hit open shots, hes so bad

Ray has way too many of these "off nights". And many of them happen in the playoffs.

Get the hell out of here. Paul Pierce isn't a clutch player? You're pathetic.

We'll see how he plays in the remaining games. Boston did have some luck to win the Championship last season(Lebron's horrible game 1, for instance) and never would have needed it had Allen played better the first two series. If it happens two straight seasons, I'd prefer to move on and have him traded but still only if they can find a good trade.

I'm a huge Ray supporter, but i honestly can't support the performance he just gave. He blew. However, that doesn't erase what he's accomplished this season, and i also can't dismiss what he did in last years finals.

Hopefully Ray breaks out of his 1 game slump, and get back to his season averages. If he gets back to his season averages, we'll be fine.

1-12

dissapearing for 2 playoff series last year.

That sucks.

I don't care if he was great before Boston. I'm a Boston Celtic fan.

I'll take a defender and streaky shooter who steps it up in the playoffs.

Then a guy who goes on cold streaks when the playoff lights come on.

I'm not prone to shooters, hated every single on the Celts have had [wally,jiri.. them sucking might has something to do with hating them].. but if Ray Allen fails again this series. I don't give a **** how good he is after his team has gotten him to the finals or during the regular season. I'll take my 10 million and buy a role player like Delonte West and maybe a vet like Rasho on the open market. Then got to war with size and heart.

That only leaves us with Pierce as a closer, but I'll take my chances with him.

Pierce didn't play great either, how about that free throw that could of won it that he missed?

The bottomline is what made us special was KG, Ray and Paul together. Paul and Ray arn't going to win it. I don't mean to be negative, but lets be honest...

Wow. your terrible, your dilusional. Ray Allen stepped up when it matter against detroit and LA.

How could you be a Celtics fan.....but not appreciate what Ray Allen did in the conference and finals? If it wasn't for him we would not have won that title. He did alot for this team.

I'm not saying hes the only reason we won, but he did his part. Ray Allen is a great player.
Ray still got game.
