i was more depressed about the slide.

He runs like Ron Cey used to run.

Yeah, the slide was poor.

We might be able to get back in this one if this P starts running out of gas in the bottom of the 8th.

Looks like he's back out in the 8th. Gotta get some baserunners!

And there's one...way to go, Johnson!

Instead the fatass whiffed at a pitch in the dirt. Then Johnson gets thrown out trying to steal...though Gutierrez looked like he hesitated at a bunt or something. Did he miss a sign?

Didn't like the steal attempt there with Ichiro in the on-deck-circle, and down by two.

Do you think it was a straight steal attempt? By a catcher? Or was it a hit and run that Gutierrez missed?

Possible. I'd have to see the replay. You probably got a better look than me.

Wonder why they're bringing in a lefty against Ichiro...wouldn't it make more sense to use the closer for an inning and a third?

There was something strange about what Gutierrez...he watched a pitch go right down the middle but was pulling the bat out like he was going to attempt a bunt. I don't know, but something seemed off.

No way strike three. Ichiro doesn't keep the bat on his shoulder at such times.

No Joke. That thing was well inside. I thing it tailed back to the plate at the last second and fooled the ump into believing it was a strike.

He missed the call. He's been calling the low strikes tonight, though.

Oh well. Jackson was on fire tonight, and just couldn't put an inning together at the plate. There's always tomorrow. But tomorrow is Silva. We're going to need some run support.

Missed most of this game because of the debacle that was the Blazers playoff game. Tough night for my pro franchises.

Hopefully Safeco is kind to Silva again today. Detroit's sending out a guy making his second career start.

Cedeno just put one over the wall in left.

1-1, bottom 3rd. Gotta win this! Haven't lost a series yet, don't want to start with Detroit.
