Hypothetical Question...

Post#1 » by Matt34520 » Sun Apr 19, 2009 12:51 am

Lets say the Celtics get eliminated this year and don't win it all.......

what team or player do you want to see win it, because you think they/he deserves it?

For me it would be Dwayne Wade, but he already has a championship.

If the Celtics can't win, I'd like to see LeBron get his.

I know thats controvesial, being that I'm a Celtics fan, but LeBron has been the real deal since hes entered the league. He is a special player, and he deserves atleast one ring....atleast....

once again, obviously I want the Celtics to win every year preferably(they are my team), but I'm just saying......

this is a what if question....
Ray still got game.

Portland. But I wouldn't begrudge Cleveland a 'Chip, either. Lord knows the people of Boston have had a wealth of professional championships over the past few years. Danny Ferry and the Cavs have built a good team around a great player, and they've been focused all year. I'd like to see the Blazers get by LA this year and play the Celtics, obviously, but second choice would be Portland/Cleveland.

The 2 teams I'd like to see are playing each other, San Antonio or Dallas.

Orlando. Dwight needs a chip..I hate the Cavs with a passion..i'd probably root for LA over them in the Finals. At least they got class and respect on board that team...

I'm rooting for Portland. Pretty much their whole team is new to the playoffs, are all very young, and are still very good. The Lakers can never win in their arena, and I think the Blazers are the only team that could upset them in the Western Conference.

I'd like Dallas or San Antonio to win. Mostly because Kidd needs a ring and I'd like to see the ancient Spurs beat Clevland again

Honestly, I only care about Boston and could careless about the rest of the league. However, to answer your question, I'll like to see Kidd and Nowitzki win a championship. Admittedly, they're two of my favorite players. But, Kidd has paid his dues and deserves to end his career with having won a championship, and Nowitzki deserves another shot at bringing Dallas a championship for his continued loyalty to the only franchise he knows. I somewhat liked Dallas during the nineties when they'd players like Mashburn and Jim Jackson and the aforementioned Kidd. Also, I was a fan of Mashburn. Anyways, I'll like to see the expression on Stern's face when he has to begrudgingly congratulate Cuban.

I agree with you totally. I can't stand the Cavaliers. I never wanna see Mo Williams win a championship. If we don't win, i'd like for D-Wade to get another one, or Dwight Howard. Yao Ming is a nice guy too. I think he deserves a ring one of these days as well.

I hate Cavs ... I could live with Lebron, but Mo Williams, Varejao...I could not watch those two get a ring...If we wont win...I dont know, anyone can win except Cavs

The player in the league who I most do not want to see enjoy the success his talent rates is probably Kobe. That's personal, not team -- I grew up in LA and don't share in the general Laker hate.

I don't like Kidd personally, but I do like his "basketball character", and I feel a bit of a bond w/ Germans, so I'd be fine w/ Dallas.

Lebron seems like a class act given the temptations he faces, I like Delonte, and nobody on the Cavs particularly annoys me, so I'd be fine with them winning it.

It's hard to dislike the Orlando guys, but I just don't want to face up to there being three championship-worthy teams in the East instead of two. So the Magic are below a couple of others for me.

This is an interesting question. I would like to say the Cavs because LBJ is just such a great player but I do not like the rest of the team. Also, whatever small chance there is that LBJ leaves the cavs probably goes way down if he wins a ring there. I don't want to see LBJ every year in the playoffs for the next decade so I'm gonna have to root against the cavs. I like the Pistons too but I want us the get Sheed over the summer so I can't root for them. I would say Dallas but I cant stand Kidd. Hmmm, Portland is a good pick I guess. Maybe Denver?

Anyone but the Lakers and Cavs. Anyone. Even if it's Chicago, and I'd be incredibly bitter towards them.

I wanna say Cavs because LeBron is the best player I've ever seen, but I can't stand him. So Portland or Denver or New Orleans or Sixers or Bulls. In that order.

I have to say Utah, because that means the Lakers lost in the first round. San Antonio works too, it wouldn't make me angry at all. Other than that I don't look forward to any teams winning, maybe individuals, but they can do that in the future on the Celtics. (Sam Dalembert, Tony Battie, Steve Blake, Ron Artest, JJ Barea, Brandon Bass, Birdman, Chris Paul)

Definitely Dallas. Big fan of Dirk

And to those saying the cavs...maybe you guys need to brush up on your "rivalry" knowledge. They were dancing on the bench a few weeks ago.
