It was a good game. It was fun watching Rose.

Only a real defense can contain him. (assuming the best game of his career isn't going to be a trend for him)

You know how it can be funny to go over to a team's board and read the gnashing of teeth, wails of horror and general panty bunching after they lose?

Right now we are being that board. Lets all take a spoonful of concrete and harden the **** up shall we Celtic Nation?

This team has fought damn hard to get the 2nd seed without KG, they aren't just lying down.

K.G. will be lighting the fire of revenge under the team's collective asses, let us just watch the game and enjoy the results.

Of the four game ones on Saturday, three out of the four host teams lost. So, Boston's chagrin is shared by San Antonio and Portland. Of them, I would be worried of Portland. Houston's just as near unbeatable at home as Portland was suppose to be. Conversely, San Antonio losing at home isn't a surprise; they've been inconsistent at home at times throughout the regular season. Plus, they're without one of their top three players, Ginobili, like Boston. But, that shouldn't be an excuse for neither Boston or San Antonio. On the other hand, San Antonio had the third best road record during the regular season.

Boston tied with Cleveland and Orlando for the second best road record during the regular season. So, I'm not concern with Boston supposedly losing home court advantage. However, as said on WEEI, 81% of the time the team that won game one went on to win the series. Thus, Chicago's in a good position. Initially, I would've predicted that Boston wins this series in five. However, now my feeling is that Boston just increased the likelihood of the series going at least six games. I'm disappointed in Boston's effort but the game was still winnable before the overtime. Moreover, I don't blame Pierce... The game should not have had reached that point. That's the head coach's and team's fault altogether. I mean I recall last season that Ray missed a pair of free throws in two instances during the regular season in games against the Lakers and against Cleveland. He and Pierce are human. I wouldn't give up on them. If a game's on the line, I'm calling the number of either in a tight situation. They're the two most clutch players on the roster.

This game sucked. How the **** was it a good game when we lost and gave up home court just like that. It was a good game if you are a Bulls fan, not a Celtics fan.

I love Ray Allen but he single handly lost this game for us. He was horrible shooting, defense wasn't all that good, and only 3 rebounds and 1 assist in 39 minutes. Had Tony Allen played Ray's 39 minutes, we would be up 1-0 instead of being down 0-1.

Ray will bounce back, but he has to do a much better job in all the other areas of his game like rebounding, passing, playing defense, and driving to the basket.

This might make more sense if Rondo didn't play just as well as Rose in the best game of Rose's career.

Man you knew this would happen if we lost a game in the playoffs. JoeBiscuit, Spud and a few used to panic and whine like whores over regular season losses...do you really think they wouldn't go off on the whole team if we had a bad playoff game? I still call Celtics in 6..much like the Pistons series last year..

Yuhp yuhp...if you take out the FT's , Rose would have gotten 24 pts...Rondo would have 25... :D not to mention 9 Rebounds to Rose's 4...and 7 assists to Rose's 11..so...they pretty much even IMO..

Both had good games, but what you're saying makes little sense. "If you take out the FT's, Rondo outscores him"
-well ya, if you wanna spin it that way. Kobe Bryant and Michael Redd are equal players IMO...just take out all the FT's Kobe gets. Sounds pretty ridiculous huh
