Gortat & Jazz

Post#1 » by Zemsta » Sat Apr 18, 2009 10:06 am

Hello,
I'm from Poland - so I need to ask this question.
What do you think about Gortat in Uhat?
In polish newspaper he says that he is going to leave Orlando.
I'm not familiar wiht trade rules - so can you tell me: can Utah arange him for next sezon?

I would be me dream - only Polish NBA player in my favourite team:)

btw UTAH in 6!

I've been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss lately. This seems to fit in.

"What do you think about Gortat in Uhat?"
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

He's a free agent, and I'd want him at the right price.

jazz has quite an international following for a small market team

Jeez, it's just a typo. It's spelled right in the rest of the post.

I would think he is more useful than Fes, but I'm not interested in more than a vets minimum.

I was thinking the same thing. That's pretty awesome, actually. Zemsta, how did you become a Jazz fan?

As for Gortat on the Jazz, he does fit the coach and the system. Wouldn't be a bad addition...but because of your roster situation we probably won't get him unless one or more of our big men leaves via free agency. (I also understand that the Magic like Gortat, and signing him away won't be easy no matter what.)

Offer him the whole MLE, and he would be the enforcer Utah needs. If I was KOC, he would be my #1 target if Boozer opts out. A rotation of Memo/Millsap/Koufos/Gortat would be GREAT under Sloan.

You know, I think Jazz should develope Koufos as a PF and get a real center. Gortat? I reallt watched him play three times this year, and I don't think I have anything close to an acurate judgement on his game yet. Yet... he`s a traditional center, and even if I'd like more athleticism at least he doesn't look soft...
Anyway, we have to know yet what Boozer/Okur/Korver will do after the season's over, and we have the draft either, so I don´t think we can really thnik of Gortat or any other player yet.
Now, should we be able after the draft to do a sign and trade sending Boozer somewhere else and getiting a ppoint guard and a yound tough PF, then may be I would be talking to a Gortat's type of player agent...

It's a reference to the Dr. Suess post.

I don;t know who Seuss is.
sorry for uhat. it is not easy to write in english for me

but Utah does not need Gortat - looking at todays match - they need experiance, becouse they look like first time on the floor
and too many extra passes

Zemsta is correct. We need experience and another leader on the floor. I think Shaq could help us out a lot.

I was always down for the Shaq trade. In fact, me and Ed discussed it like two weeks before you posted that thread. So there.

That works as well. Either way, sounds almost pretty impossible that our franchise would do something like that.

Yeah, it's too bad. I'd love to see Shaq as the Big Shaqsophone. I also liked the advice he gave to the lesser Lopez, no whoopsy doopsy layups. That's something this team is in dire need to learn.

This would be an ideal fit right now, and its a good shot, too, seeing as how the Magic have Hedo expiring this summer and will be capped out trying to get him re-upped. If we can benefit from that egregious contract they gave Shard, then I will be pumped.

I would be willing to offer the dude Collins like money to come and be our 4th big guy. He would be a great fit. Might even want to give him 4m per year to be our 3rd guy, but we'd have to have two great bigs in front of him. If he's your 3rd big and you don't have two stars or one superstar then you're in trouble.
