This is me just thinking but would Memphis be interested in a trade like this...
Portland Trades
-Lamarcus Aldridge
-Travis Outlaw
Memphis Trades
-Rudy Gay
-Mike Conley
-2009 1st round pick (from Orlando--I think you have that)
You could maybe take away the 2009 1st. I am just curious if that is a deal that Memphis would consider.

Where do I sign? By the way, why would Portland give up Aldridge?

I was talking with my buddy who is a Portland fan and he thought they could get Carlos Boozer in a sign and trade for their TPE, open cap space, a 1st round pick, and Jerryd Bayless. Utah is going to lose Boozer anyway so in this scenario they get something for him. So Portland could then trade LMA to fill their needs at PG and SF.

I dont like the idea of Portland getting Boozer. I think they are better off at keeping LMA or trading him for a jump shooting big man; to get an inside-outside presence as their front court. Both Boozer and Oden are mostly inside players, so I dont know if a front court of both of them is beneficial.
Also, it doesnt make sense financially. LMA is on his rookie contract. If they get Boozer (who will probably demand 10/11 million/year, and get an extension for Gay (who'll likely demand big money aswell), as well as Roy next year, in addition to their young talent becomming FA's soon (Ferdenanz, Serigo, Outlaw; etc); I dont know how they'll be able to manage that.

I like Aldridge, but not that much.

You know, when I first read this trade proposal, I was all over it. But when you think about it, Gay and Conley can get Memphis a great player in return, most likely better than Aldridge. However, if Portland adds Martell Webster and/or takes back Jaric, then I think I would make the deal on the Memphis side.

I would do that trade if we end up with Rubio or Jennings. POR taking back Jaric´s wouldn´t be bad though

Re: Trade question (Memphis and Portland)
WTF? Am I the only one who thinks Gay > Aldridge? And I'd rather keep Conley who's shown flashes that he can be a great PG this season.
