Doc
McGowan
Romero
Cecil
Marcum

trade away Litch and purcey for a SS

get some power via free agency in 2010 and that team is scary

sign Nick Swisher, and our rotation will be set for years :)

I'd put Marcum as the #2 or #3... He had some very solid outings before he got hurt

Mi dios es Rios?

If you say it with a spanish accent it kind of works. It means "my god it's Rios".

Hrmmm, a little bit harder methinks.

I was at the game and it was quite the snoozer - well, up until a foul ball ricocheted off one of the seats and hit me on the side of the head in the 8th.

I know I've got the rose-coloured glasses on for even mentioning this but wouldn't it be interesting to see Snider and Romero battle it out for ROY (please note: I don't actually think this'll be the case).

Do you think Brad Arnsberg is the best pitching coach in the league? He's really done a fantastic job since joining the Jays, it seems.

They talked earlier this year about the main thing he did with Romero. Something about Rickey throwing across his body too much. I'm not sure the exact details.

Here's a link to that story. It's a pretty good read on how Arnsberg really put some time in with Romero and helped fix his mechanics.

I hope Romero can keep this up. He pitched a great game today.

Alright time for me to do a lot of quoting...

I agree. Did you put them in terms of ranking though? Marcum is a number 2/3 type of pitcher. And at least in my case, I enjoy watching him pitch more than any other of our pitchers except Doc of course.

And...

Banger_bro wrote:Isn't Scuturo playing well enough for now? I agree we need a young, promising minor league SS that will be ready to take over in the next 2-3 years. But for now I am happy with Scoots.

Scoots has been playing well but definitely over his head. Btw, we have a pretty promising young prospect in Justin Jackson. He seems like he'd be a perfect lead off guy for us...at least in a few years that is. He's quick, steals bases, but still needs to improve his bat though.

Damn man, that sucks. I hope you're doing well though.

Go Jays!

Ey, a wise man once said " Anything's possibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

No but seriously they've both been great contributors thus far. I hope they can keep it at a good level for most of the season. And if they do look out for this team.
