Maybe I was going a little overboard when I said we need to bring in Marbury, but Rondo didn't have as good of a game as you may think.

You, like many others, are getting a hard on over Rondo's 29 points. But he was consistently late in getting the ball to other players, which led us to several blown opportunities because he was looking only for his shot. The job of a PG is to run the offense, get everyone involved and then pick your spots to look for his own shot. And Rondo didn't do that. He was going at Rose to prove that he can take D-Rose. Well, he proved that he's at least 2 levels below D-Rose, so there is nothing left to be proven.

He better get his act together and do a much better job of running the offense and getting everyone involved because if he tries to go one-on-one against Rose again, we're definitely getting swept because Rondo is not in D-Rose's league.

In what way did Rose prove he was 2 levels ABOVE Rondo? If Rondo went 6-21 and scored like 20-22 points and had like 4 turnovers, I'd agree with you. Rondo had 29/9/7 with 1 turnover, 2 steals, and on 12-21 shooting.

Also why should Rondo pass the ball to a shooter when he has a layup?

This is getting comical. Rondo would have finished with at least 13 assists the other night if Ray or House can quit choking and actually stick a jumpshot (or, in Ray's case, a dunk). Give me a break. It's hard to look good as a (primarily) playmaking PG when your team is chucking up rocks.

Like I said, Rondo scored a lot, but that's not what the problem is. He was too wrapped up in his match up against Rose, he forgot about the team.

Rondo is the PG. Which means, every offensive possession starts with him. If he doesn't choose to pass, no one gets the ball. It's HIS JOB to run the offense. Not try to prove his manhood. And because he was doing that, he didn't do what he does best, which is handling the ball, setting everyone up, and playing good D.

More importantly, for the Bulls, D-Rose is their best option and the best player. Rondo isn't. Our best course of attack is going to Paul and Ray. Not having Rondo pound the ball and try to be the man. 29 points is great, but if those 29 points coming at the expense of taking teammates out of rhythm and stalling the offense, it's not as good as 12 points with everyone moving and getting involved.

^^^ I don't know about two levels better but Rose has done nothing to change my belief that he is a superior talent and player. Rondo is still a very good NBA PG though. Rondo might need to play his normal style of ball - but I blame the loss on bad interior D and lack of size up front. Without KG we are just small in the front. People abuse BBD with his slow switching and his lack of height...its ugly.

When Rondo drove to the hoop and scored (or missed), neither Pierce nor Allen rotated back to pick up Rose heading the other way. That is how Rose got off.
