Since the Phils were rained out last night Moyer is going tonight instead of Blanton.

I like this matchup. Moyer has fared well against us recently but we still excel against lefties.

We got a few on him in the playoffs, I believe, but in the series near the end of the year he killed us.

Most of their power is lefty so having Manny going will help. Hopefully all of this means a series opening win and we can just try to split the last 2.

Trying to be optimistic...

Phils are hitting .700 (yes .700) off Parra. Ok it's only 7-10 but still... But we're hitting .355 against Moyer and he was the only Philly we beat in the playoffs. Although he beat us both times he faced us in the regular season last year.

Manny needs to get aggressive and throw strikes. You can't walk these guys or they'll make you pay. I can deal with solo shots, but we can't afford to give up 2/3 run shots this series. Get ahead early with the fastball and throw the splitter in the dirt to put batters away.

Phils had a runner on first, he ran with the pitch and the guy at the plate hit a ground ball. Then Rickie and JJ collided trying to pick up the ball and they both fell down so everybody was safe. It was a tough play though with the runner going.
