Time for Melo to get something done in this game. They will play Chauncey differently, and Melo has to step up. Hopefully our bench continues to play like they've been playing all season long.

Reports going around that Scott will leave CP3 on Billups now.

Smart move... as CP3 will just flop whenever Billups tries to post up.

So help me god if Carmelo doesn't drive every time he's singled up with Peja...

Yeah Melo definitely needs to pick up his game a bit. Especially since Billups is going to be getting a lot more attention this game. From what I saw he needs to stop forcing the J and try to attack the rim more, at least get some foul shots.

Damn you, NBA, and your way-too-spaced-out games.

Melo didn't get a rebound in the second half of game 1. However, he didn't play a lot in the second half of game 1 either. Why does he continually wait for the defense to come to him in the playoffs?

I think Melo's got some of that "wanna be unselfish" urge slowing him down sometimes. The whole game is a mix of being unselfish, and then to score, being selfish. What Melo wants to avoid is putting a selfish streak together....but he shouldn't be too unselfish either. He's a finisher. Involve his teammates, and when the ball comes back to him, finish.

When he hocks a shot up there and he's not on fire, he needs to follow his shot in there and grab that rebound and get the 2 points anyway. He was doing that at one point in the season and stopped doing it after he went out for a few games with bumps and bruises.

I remember one shot that was so horrible it rebounded flat straight out toward the ft line and Melo grabbed it and stuffed it. If he can do that on 10 missed shots a night.....man.

Most of the time its not like that, cause they double by crowding the paint when he's singled

He gotta show more patience this game though. Just let the game come to him. He started gettin hot in the 3rd

One thing I noticed is his shot. When he's on and confident he follows through with his shot. Other times he just jacks it up

I expect New Orleans to put a lot of focus on Chauncey to make sure he doesn't have another big game, hopefully allowing Melo to breakout. We don't want to see a repeat performance from him. And assuming Kmart can repeat what he's done on David West all year, I see no reason the outcome of this should be any different than game one.

I'm not a Jones fan, but he seems to be getting under the skin of Chris Paul. Keep it up!

Late games suck. Do we finally get away from the late games when we go to NO?

yeah late games suck, especially when you live in the eastern time zone and the game doesn't start until 10:30

Byron Scott talking about Dahntay Jones
“I can appreciate anybody that plays hard, but when you get to the point where you’re being a little dirty, that’s the thing that kind of aggravates me,” Scott said Tuesday. “Being that I played in this league, I know how tough that is. But when you get to the point where you’re being a little dirty then I don’t appreciate that—and I don’t respect it.”

what a douche
