I'm in the minority, but I don't think Rondo had a very good game. Sure, he scored a lot, but he didn't do the things we've seen him do best. In many cases, the ball was sticking to him way too much. Much like how Sam used to hold it. Ok, maybe not that bad, but he was looking for his shot too much and wasn't playing very good D on Rose. Even when he made the pass, it was always a little too late and gave the defense to catch up to the player, instead of getting him the ball when he got open. I don't know if it was him getting caught up in trying to show D-Rose who the man is, but he went away from strength big time.
And his D... Yikes! Rose really showed him how to play PG in the NBA. If Rondo has another game like this, we're not going to win. It's not about how many points he can score, but it's his job to get the offense moving and getting the ball to right people at the right time and he didn't do either of those in game 1.
I'm hoping they run the offense through Paul a lot more in game 2 because Rondo was getting caught up in his match up against Rose at the expense of the team.
Rondo established himself in game 1 alright. He established himself as being at best a 2nd tier of PGs. Certainly established himself as clearly being below Rose.

Compared to Rondo, Rose showed how to be the PG by passing the ball instead of taking and making the shot?

I don't think there's any chance Rondo will ever become a top 5 point guard in the NBA as long as he's being overshadowed by 5 hall of famers. Also, he needs to work on his jumpshot and his offensive game in general.
Did you miss something with his offensive game the other night? Nearly had a triple double and score 29 points. His offense is pretty damn good and his jumpshot is improving by the week - he hit most of them the other night. He shoots over 50% from the field. His offense is most definitely not a big problem here. As his shooting improves further he'll get even better. Head-to-head he regularly destroys the likes of Harris, Calderon, Nash, etc.

He was brilliant!
And he was playing on two bad ankles in the second half. You could see he was hurting and couldn˙t move great but he fought through it...
He is by far our best player in this series.
He is averaging 24 pts (0.49 FG%, 0.75FT%), 11.5 ast, 10.5 rb, 3.5 stl and only 1.5 TO`s in these two games...

A triple double. I just told me boy a Spurs fan last night he was doing such and he refuased to believe it. He's a big Rondo hater. ( I think because he's so similar to Tony Parker.)
