The only issue more important than the FO: Alternate Jerseys

I wonder if the team is planning on unveiling alternate road uni's this year. Remember these bad boys courtesy of funky mcfunkerton himself, funkatron101.





I personally think the black's would be the baddest jersey's in the NBA. I could see the green being sweet too though. I would love to see either honestly, i think a little variety goes a long way.

Which would you prefer?

I want them both. but I guess we have to wait for another year because I can recall reading a rule that you have to wait 2 years until you can have an alternative jersey.

I really like the black the best but it seems like everyone wants to have a black alt. jersey so I voted for green just to be different. Although I think the green could be a different shade - it reminds me too much of the old Mavs jerseys.

agreed, the green needs to be darker. it looks too much like the lynx jerseys. but i voted for it anyways, is a solid jersey. Maybe we can pull a lakers and wear the green at home and black on the road.

No black - everyone has black (though as pointed out getting rid of that stupid arrow in the mock up is definitely a point in its favor, the designers would just put a border around the arrow). A green could be cool though.

I don't have photoshop on my new mac, otherwise I would try a darker shade. Perhaps more like the Bucks jerseys.

We'd have to have a lighter green to go with the black and green like the Lakers' yellow and purple. but it's the Lakers, I highly doubt the league would allow anyone else to do that. Plus, no one has yellow as a main color in their jerseys. Other teams have green as a main color.

It is one year, we may not get them this year but the rule goes you have to wait at least one year, not two.

I love the black. And would actually like to see some throwback MLPS type jersey's. I always loved those.

but wouldn't that be violating rights? afterall it's a Laker jersey they'd be wearing and not a Wolves jersey.

I am really digging the black jerseys, but in an effort to be different than other teams, I vote green, except possibly a slightly darker shade. Then again, the Mavs already have a green one right? So maybe black would be cooler to differentiate from them a little more since our stuff is kinda similar.

Well i counted the teams in the League that wear black uni's as opposed to green: 76ers, Bulls (alt.), Heat, Spurs, and Blazers all wear black. Thats 5 teams, hardly "everyone"

Teams that wear green: Celtics, Bucks, Mavericks (alt.) Thats 3. So its really not even as far apart as i thought.

It is definitely a 1-year wait. We had a conference call with the team and a league rep back when the jerseys were introduced and this subject was brought up. They can issue an alt-jersey this year. They wouldn't say what color it was. My guess is that black will come back. Those were some of the best jerseys in the NBA.

If I remember correctly, they gave a pretty pat answer to that question. Something along the lines of "we did it in the past and anticipate doing it in the future".
