New Jersey and the Clippers have a trade.

NJ in / LAC out:
Eric Gordon $2,623,200
Mike Taylor $500,000
#27 pick (from Orlando via Memphis)
Total $3,123,200

LAC in / NJ out:
Sean Williams $1,522,920
Jarvis Hayes $1,910,000
#2 pick
Total $3,432,920

(3.12 x 1.25) + .1 = 4.00 > 3.43; trade works

New Jersey accepts. The deal is essentially Gordon and a late first-rounder for #2 (presumably Rubio); all else is salary filler. Having decided to stick with Harris as my PG, I chose to move Rubio for the best value I could find, looking for another young player and preserving my cap space. I'm very impressed by Gordon's rookie season, and he fills my need for a young SG beautifully.

Clippers accept. Although we're sad to see a dynamic scorer like Gordon go, we believe we have acquired a pick that will bring a franchise point guard into the Clippers Organization, something we haven't had for years. With 3 picks in the lotto this year, we're confident that we can build a young, dynamic and exciting core.

With that being said, ZACH RANDOLPH IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR FREE.

accpeted. i like aci and have no freaking need for williams.

lol

also, Philly waives Robs Kurs once this deal is approved, not for roster space or anything, just because we dont want the guy and ollie takes his "15th man, getting paid minimum salary, just here to fill in on trades" spot!

Trade on hold. There is an issue that is being worked out right now. Will keep the league office posted.

Salaries work.

For San Antonio this trade is about potential. The potential we see in Jack, the potential we see in the 2009 1st, the potential in what Kmart might bring either through another trade or through play. In short, this trade is about trading pieces that have no potential for those that do.

Trade approved, please update your rosters.

Clippers accept. We needed a pick to fill the needs of our young squad and this helps us.

Still need Memphis to okay this trade.

MEMPHIS ACCEPTS - This year's draft is pretty much dead after Top 10 and it wouldn't make sense to draft a low-ranked player as Memphis can clearly make a run for big FAs this offseason to fill in the missing pieces to strengthen its roster.

-I got the cap numbers from http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11713 I'm not much of a hoopsworld fan, but this seems pretty reasonable and it's the best numbers that I could find for the salary cap.
-I got the the luxury tax value since the salary cap is 51% of the BRI; 57.3 mill/0.51 = 112.35 mill = BRI and the luxury tax is 61% of the BRI so 112.35 millx 0.61 = 68.54 mill

Would you also let us know what the MLE will be? Thanks.
