OT: McGrady picks LAKERS to win the title

When your own team is fighting in the playoffs and you're asked about who will win the championship, I don't think picking the Lakers is a good idea. IMO It shows that you have no faith in the ability of your team, and that you are a QUITTER. For all the personal accolades he gathered, TMac was never a winner.

Doesn't this lack of drive bother you? I mean I'd rather have a lesser talented guy like Stephen Jackson who will play his heart out everytime, than a uber talented person without the desire to win (ala tMac and his cousin Carter). Read his comments:

LOL! Back in the day (‘90s), I used to actually eat those hard Flintstone vitamins and it tasted awful. Don't know if they still carry the production, but I assume the gummies would taste much better. Man, kids these days get the good stuff...

He was a talented player, once upon a time, but this just goes to show what kind of guy he is. He's selfish, and that comment reflects that. Of course, odds are the prediction holds weight, but like the OP said, when your team is still in the thick of things you can't side with another team, even if you feel it personally, atleast not publically. I'm sure his organization and teammates didn't appreciate that.

I bet he's secretly rooting for a Blazers' series win so that he can gloat that his team can't do it with or without him and that it's the team's fault. Typical T-Mac.
