Their role players cannot miss, we get called for touch fouls everywhere, EVERY LOOSE BALL WENT THEIR WAY, we have no center that accounts for a huge part of our offense and this was a winnable game. I dont feel too bad right now.

Shannon Brown . . . a career 29% 3PT shooter magically shooting 70% for the Lakers. Give me a freaking break.

The Lakers are a very beatable team. We have a team of retards, a coach who does not make adjustments and says things like "its not my job to motivate my players", and we were down by 6-8 most of the game? Laker fans are not going to enjoy seeing LeBron, that my friends I can tell you.

"Their role players cannot miss...," was a commonly echoed sentiment from 2000-02, btw. You know how many games Fox, Horry, Shaw, Fisher, and Harper won w/ open treys in those seasons? Lots.

The Lakers are a very beatable team that few can figure out how to beat (in real life). On a website, perfect gameplans are easier to hammer out.

Dont kid yourself. We threw the ball away 3 times when had the lead down to 6. Against almost any other team the Lakers would have lost that game last night.

Are you freaking kidding me???? Shannon Brown and Trevor Ariza cant shoot a lick until the get to the Lakers, where as Fox, Horry, etc. all were known shooters. The Lakers are going to come crashing down to earth against better teams than the Jazz. Believe it. Trevor Ariza did not make a 3 for 2 straight years playing for the Magic . . . let that soak in. He is 6-7 in this series. Absolutely ridiculous. Do NOT compare that dude to Robert Horry or Rick Fox.

Besides, the magic shooting of the Lakers was just 1 reason of many that the Jazz did not win last night, which I named in my earlier post.

I don't know about you guys but I think last night proved we can win this series. The Lakers hit us with everyone they had in the first half and we were still in the game. We had our way with them on offense for most of the game exception being the last 3 minutes and it was not the Lakers defense that caused the problems it was our own stupid mistakes. If we can win the next two games at home (which I fully expect to happen) and Memo can come back for game 5 and play with the same grit as the team showed last night....Jazz in 7. Im telling you if we keep up the fight that we showed last night we will win the next 2 easy and gain the momentum we need to win the series. When we play at home turnovers will be cut down, shots will fall better for us, we will get more calls going our way, and the role players of the Lakers WILL NOT shoot lights out like they have been in L.A. The stars are aligning for an upset if we can just keep the intensity level up and focus on what we need to do each game.

Ugh. The Jazz should have won that game last night. The difference between us and the Lakers...aside from talent. Is urgency and poise. Its pathetic that we only play one half. Everytime we get a stop we give up a o-board, we turn the ball over on the other end...just something stupid.

We need a change. Jerry is a HOF, but he needs to go. We looked our best last night when Deron was running his own offense and using the PnR. Everytime we went to a set we turned the ball over or missed a bad shot. Jerry and his "system" need to go. AK needs to go. Bozo the turnover wizard needs to go.

Either the players need to go or Sloan does. We have always chose the players...I think its really time for Jerry to step down. He just cant effectively coach a title contender in this league...injuries or not. Rick Carlise went to the ECF 2-3 yrs in a row and Joe Dumars didnt hesitate to fire him and go to Larry Brown...boom championship. Im not saying thats gonna happen for us, but Jerry leaving has been long over due. His system will never fetch a title here. We need radical change in our approach. Even if we draft a awesome backup PG or another stud like Kosta they're gonna sit on the bench all year. Please retire Jerry...because nobody will fire you.

I just dont know how many more years of losing on the road like this and in San Antonio and not showing up against elite teams I can take.

Possibly the dumbest thing Ive ever read on this board. Nothing in this league is "easy". Just like we were gonna sweep the Rockets last season. Lakers can and have beaten us in Utah. Can we win? Sure, but it wont be easy. BTW Jazz have no shot in this series. If it goes to 6 the Lakers should be eliminated. Gasol basically is doing practice drills out there with the position they give him. If we dont play D we have no chance.

Hell Mo Almonds gonna win a title before us. Though when the Flash realize they're from Utah they will probably choke.

I agree with you....The Jazz are going to take the next two and make this one hell of a series. Too bad the national analysts have already written the series off; They'll be in for a surprise.

Only one problem with that thought process. The Jazz have played so poorly in the first quarters that the Lakers have basically won the game at that time. Sure we win the rest of the game, but the Lakers only worked hard enough to win. Poor starts by us lead to less pressure of the Lakers and their backups have not faced the necessary level of post season pressure.

The Jazz won't win this series, but I'm optimistic that we can force a game 7. We played good enough defense in the second half of each of these games to give us a chance to beat this team on their own floor. If we can maintain that at home, we will definitely take every game.

I am encouraged. This team looked like they had lost all fight and spirit after the last two or three weeks of the regular season. They look like a different team now. The Lakers are a great team. They are a championship caliber team, and the Jazz are going toe-to-toe with them for long stretches.

That might be little comfort, but I was expecting 4 games of what the Rockets did to the Blazers in their first game.

So I'm pleasantly surprised.

Its a figure of speech...

Trust me I know nothing will be easy.

BTW the Jazz can win this series. Sure the Lakers have beaten us in Utah before doesn't mean that they will. Look at how we have played in the second half of the last two games...when the Jazz play at home that should spread out to a full 48 minutes if they are still confident they can win. Last NBA team to win a series once going down 2-0? Utah Jazz. Ill stay optimistic, keep your pessimistic comments to yourself.

Thats the point of a board, to share ideas. I can be pessimistic all I want.

The Jazz also had a full roster, veteran leadership, and weren't giving up almost 120 a game.

Return to Utah Jazz
