I know it's trivial, but I keep coming back to when 'Spirit' the Hawk didn't fly to his handler....and how it broke the stride the Hawks had coming out.
I think our players concentration was broke....for that short moment, and that break in stride cost us in the long term ultimately. Some of our players were scared to run down the court near the Hawk...and I just think it gave Miami the advantage...cause they looked out of sync after that happened.
I think the crowd...the noise and the fireworks spooked the bird. But I did think it was cool to see the bird staying on the hometeam's side/basket though.
Nonetheless, I say ditch the bird for the remainder of the playoffs! Too many distractions in a series that's way too important.

Re: Did Hawks mascot give Heat an edge?
I don't think so, but I don't know which players have bird phobias. The Heat seemed as spooked by Spirit as the Hawks did. Also at the point in which he interrupted the proceedings the Heat were already ahead after making a few shots that they wouldn't have hit on Sunday.
